Thanks 509

Paddles are a hole world compared to ripsaws in the sand.

paddles hook and go while ripsaws are like a cavitateing prop.

Looking forward to your vids

The stance is perfect! Did you build your own links?

thanks

i did the steering links. will do the lower links soon and maybe uppers. the stock rod ends are getting sloppy so ill build links same as steering with revo rod ends. im not happy with the pinion angle either so ill address that when i make links. also whant to do a 3link and cms in the front but i want the 3rd link triangulated. just starting to picture in my head how to build it

Yeah that's the one thing I don't like about the cms. Just taking one link off in IMO looks cheap...

in all actualality its just fine since the upper link goes to center and panhard controls side to side movement

got to thinking that a triangulated 3link upper might realy act more like a 4 link

on 6volts this thing has way more power then the servo it replaced and is wicked fast its also very very smooth and makes minimal noise as it snaps back to center when the wheel is relased. its the savox 1268 hv servo only 347 oz on 7.4 volts so im seeing probly just shy of 300 on 6volts

ran the boggers on some rdmix yesterday and they worked amazeing and only on 4s. the larger tires realy increase the ground speed alot compared to the tiny 2.2 paddles.

watch in hd. ohhh i also broke the front max shaft it had a rock binding the wheel and steering link so it just literaly snapped the driveline. if the drive linde wouldnt have snaped it might have ripped the steering arm off the knuckle or possibly broke the inner shaft.

still running all axial stock plastic knuckles and lockouts and they continue to hold of to this cartwheeling abuse and this wraith has now broke the 9lb weight mark.

finaly got around to getting the savox 1268 set up on 7.5 volts. used the cc 20amp bec pro i already had and a 800mah battery under the hood to power it. things already over 9lbs whats another tiny battey and big regulator matter.

this servo is pretty damn fast on 7.5 volts. and it seems to center all the time id did some crawling around the garage on the walls and stuff and it would center and flip the wraith over when i was crawled up the wall. grrrrrrrrr almost not sure i like that.

So I got bored today and found myself out on the street riding wheelies. A few attempts in the stock axial front drive line split down the middle on the females end. Did get a few semi long wheelies though. So then continued on 2wd and got some real long one the the rear axle gears blew.

All because I was bored and had turned my punch control off awhile back.

Probly get some hot racing gears orders.

Pinion angles have been off since lowering so I did some adjustments

Front that's not tuned yet sits way lower. Pinion is just barely below the lower links

real camera pics

For the lower front links done pinion angle is way better. Overall wheelbase us now 1/4" shorter

sorry for the randomnness of these pics and not much description. was posting from my phone.

anyways what i did was in install hot raceing 43/13 under drive gears in the rear and traxxass 5x11x4 oillite bushing in both the interanal and external pinion supports.

ive been going through rear axle pinion bearings like crazy i couldnt even tell you how many times ive changed them. hoping these bushing will get a few more runs before getting to sloppy and shimming the pinion should keep what i consider expsnsive gears happy for along time(23 bucks ;) )

heres my sloppy workbench. have a os91 helicopter engine kicking around and getting mixed with axial parts

its a trial and error process to get the pinion shimmed right. what works for me probly wont work for another rig

i also semi recently installed castles 20 amp regulator set at 7.5 volts and powered by a 800 mah 2s lipo this wraith broke the 9lb mark along time ago so weight is no longer even a consideration.

ohhh while i had the axles apart i did some shimming out at the wheel end. results wrent as exspected and shimming seems to not matter much since the bearaings are sloppy in the plasti houseing didnt seem to matter wich side of the bearing i shimmed on.

i either need to upgrade to rc4wd rear axle or ca glue some bearing stops inside the houseings to keep the bearings from being pushed in.

anyways heres a few poser pics of kinda the finished deal

sorry for the picture bomb, i cant help it

Quit showing off my goodies to everyone . . . I am glad to see the new gears are in. I was reading that if you take a piece of paper and mesh it between the gears and then it will be at the perfect spacing. Read up on it maybe. Looks good, both your rig and my bumper.

i never cared much for the paper method, rather just feel how much play is in the gears.

Update on the solid 3/16" links. They are more then stfon enough been foffing on 4 and 5s and crawling on 2 and 3.

Also ever looking for cheap upgrades came across revo part #5451x drive shaft assembly and it looked beefy. Cost was 7 bucks so what the hey. Had to buy a females yoke do also grabbed 5458x so it would have yokes on both ends.

Had to clearance the yokes and drill them out for traxxas outputs. Also cut about an 1" out if the shaft.

How do you do it? Lightning McQueen won't make any appearances in my threads, like he did a few pics up! He always says he's too busy or something!

Lol.

Been wanting to order ci dual stage or maybe even single stage foams for my boggerd. But have been afraid if the 2.25" foam width so I grabbed a set of traxxas foams and cut them down to 2.25 and they fit in the tire and look good. Gives the blogger dudewalls a much better look and the tire is firmed up quite habit.

Will get a few more pics ounce I button up the rear tires.

My custom 2.25 foams on the left stock rc4wd foams right

Both mounted on axial 8 hole bead locks

I sure hope the foams help because Lil' B. is getting sick and tired of waiting for you to catch up.

Seriously, they got to help because the sidewall flex you have is ridiculous. Will have to wait and see this week. Oh and a pic of the bumper Evan made all mounted up on Lil' B.
