Cool to see you running a XR.
I had a feeling Axial was going to get you.

when you mention at the start you were going to build the shocks like cartridge shocks could you provide a few details? i've only built shocks with bladders and i will stay i've had a lot of trouble getting these shocks bled correctly. does assembling them like a cartridge simply mean bleed them with the piston fully inserted? won't that create a vaccum that will alway want to pull in the piston in?

He means that he bleeds them and tunes them from the bottom. Kinda like the topper isent removable. Just like the LLC shocks

Exactly

There's a great write-up on shock building over on the Axial blog.
http://axialracing.com/wordpress/201...ks-and-shocks/

I basically skipped the step with the shock bladders and bled the shocks when installing the cartridge. Once I have a better understanding of this truck, I will play with the shock bladders so I can invert my shocks without any problems. For now I'm going to start with what I know

It lives!!!

My Sidewinder Micros showed up today, so I got the truck up and running. From driving it around the garage, I can already tell that my shock setup is way off

I'll get some tuning in at the SDRCRC comp this weekend. Let the games begin!!
