Haha....no controversy....I kind of figured he was joking (especially after seeing HN's location), but sometimes it is hard to read intonation on a BB.

He's out testing today...working on suspension setups & such so I'd expect to see some updates later today or tomorrow.

Unfortunately, rain and 50mph winds made it pretty tough to do any testing today I did get a chance to work on a few things though.

First off, I installed some Vanquish bling Full axle cases, Zero Ackerman knuckles, Chubs, and upper link mounts F/R. I know that its pretty much common knowledge now... but holy hell these parts are nice

With all this bling, I had to make a better looking battery tray. I started with some 1/2" x 1/2" Aluminum angle and the CF "tongue" that I cut off of the Axial electronics tray.

Same as before, I drilled a single hole in the axle case and threaded in a 3mm screw. If you put the hole in the right place, there is enough room inside for a low-profile 3mm locknut.

Here's the finished product

I wasn't very happy with the way the front suspension was cycling in testing, so I tried a few things with it that seems to have made a big improvement.

First off I tried Brandon's front shock setup. I used the stock front link/shock mounts and bent up Ti lowers. I started with 92mm straight Ti links before the bend, and ended up with 74mm between the rod ends, the same as the stock front lowers.

I settled on 2-hole pistons with 22.5wt oil and an 8mm external limiter for the front shocks. This may change once I get more testing on some big vertical stuff, but so far this setup feels really good.

You can also see where I added an extra mounting hole in the chassis. With the links mounted in the highest hole on the VP front link mount, the truck needed more link separation at the chassis. With this setup, I added a 6mm spacer to each upper link to clock the axle back up to where it started.

The battery tray is a tight fit with an 3S 860 pack, but the little 430 fits with tons of room to spare. You guys will have to ignore the messy wiring for now, I'll tidy everything up once I get my Futaba gear installed.

Surprisingly, its smoother then before. In my limited testing, it feels like I can get the front end of the truck to change direction much easier then before

Already playing with a few ideas Although I don't think this truck will need as much weight down low as my Losi did

Moves the servo horn closer to the tire and less likely to get hung up on a rock.

Grab the plastic AX10 shock caps, put a Traxxas ball end in there...It
surprisingly makes it even smoother.

mine had a ton of play with a traxxas ball in the shock eyelet... or are you talking about cutting the stock cap and adding a traxxas rod end?
