I never added the battery lol so my guesstimate with the battery is 3.3 pounds

That's awesome!! Glad your liking the way it performs so far. I was wondering how that carbon tie rod would hold up, great idea though. Rig came out nice!!

Thanks ... I had the carbon rod from another rig I may have been cracked before hand and I didn't notice ... But it made that unpleasant carbon crunch and then I only had one wheel turning lol .... The 1/8 ti rod doesn't weigh much so it is what it is ......

do you notice any flex or independent deflection (if that makes sense) using the Ti rod?

Not really? It's hard to tell when you have soft tires and carbon steering arms and such .... And the rod isn't really in plain sight ... Being behind/under the motor and axle ..... Surprisingly a 1/8 ti tie rod is pretty rigid .....well more rigid than you'd think ... I wouldn't use one on my super but for a pro/shafty I think it's just fine .... All my rigs have theme and I don't really notice a difference between it or a 3/16 one steering wise.... You'd have to drive my rigs and gather your own opinion ... You're more than welcome to try them out this weekend ... If you like it I'd make you one free of charge

Same here... I have had good success with 1/8 Ti. As long as it is straight sections I think it is plenty rigid. If you introduce any bends it gets springy fast. YMMV

Exactly .... No matter how much torque your servo has you still have parts that are weaker than the ti..... Is there flex ? Probably ... But I'm sure it's much less than tires/foams.... Aluminum screws.... Or 3 piece carbon wheels .... The 1/8 ti rod is the least of my concern when it comes to flex or deflection
