I don't really think that my rig is set up to be a crawler per-se and likely won't buy this item. That said, you have to give credit to SSD for this product! Way to go and to deliver where the manufacturer failed (and perhaps arguably mislead its customers). I hope that it is reasonably priced so that SSD can enjoy sales for other one off products as well, instead of everyone turning to the Twin Hammers 2 speed.

Way to go. It will be interesting to see if there is an Axial response...

48p hardened steel gears. The ratios are the widest possible in the stock casing.

Well if that's true, I suppose that Axial really has nothing left to offer here. If SSD has a wider spread so much the better. Maybe the final question is cost. Hopefully less than 75 which I would thinks is a fair price.

I said a while back I hoped someone in the aftermarket would pick this up. Great timing, I was checking around for news one more time before I listed this thing for sale. Will be watching like a hawk for this thing to pop up.

Another question for price?

Shift on the fly?

Edit: Not that .08:1 difference is that big of a deal, but will the OEM high range be usable, or do you have to swap the whole set? My biggest complaint out of my old RC4WD unit was the ratio was a bit too far spread. If you really want to make some happy yeti owners out of previously disgruntled, a middle-range ratio option to swap in in place of high or low set would be sweet. (Just me being picky, would be fun to play with & tune. Unless price is just astronomical I have every intention of buying this, if for no other reason than you stepped up to the plate)

SSD stuff always is competitively priced. I'd expect between $55-70

You always could. Run a link to an accessible place with something that keeps it stiff after you've shifted to the desired gear.

Any two speed I've had will need to have the shift rod held in either position or else it'll work its way to the middle or other gear. You don't want that at all. Really just getting a servo and a transmitter w/ 2pos third channel is simple as it gets. Manual changing can work.

Thanks! So the rtr yeti electronics will control this, or will I need something different. Just starting out, sorry for the questions.

Ah ok. No the stock yeti comes with just a two channel remote. Steering and throttle. Look in our electronics section or do a few different searches in the search bar too. If you still can't get what you want to know that way start a thread in the newb section or electronics section and you'll get sorted out great. Have fun Rcing.
