Metal spur isnt required. Just keep an eye on your slipper. I actually prefer to install the machined motor mount and reduce flex, saves the plastic spur gear. Also runs much quieter this way.

Stock gearing is 16/64. Should be no problem going up to a 20-22T pinion on 2S, but be really careful with temps running taller gearing and 3S.

Yes it is.

I had my first drive with this truck today. I have nothing bad to say except she is slow. Stock everything running a 3s 4000Mah 40c GeForce. It reminds me of my real car in the snow. I felt I could kick out the rear and be in total control. She soaked up gravel and bumps with ease. Video coming later tonight.

Metal motor mount is a must.
I've never stripped a spur in my Yeti with one.

Yeah ...my mindset is exo with this thing.......meaning im.expecting to have to put metal spindles and toe blocks in the front.....are the lower control arm pins prone to bending on this to?......

Default Quick update

After a few more rides i noticed some wear between the body and interior lexan. I headed over to home depot and put washers in between the two parts. It seams to be working. photo 15CB1114-8B83-46FA-8025-E01D5DF3951F_zpst7v8v8b5.jpg

Did a few more mods recently. Added a full light kit, which is headlights, tail lights, reverse lights, and even blinkers! They connect with a "Y" into your receiver so it knows when to put on the brake lights, blinkers, and reverse lights. The reverse lights are the hard-to-see KC style lights near the top of the jack and shovel. Figure when it's that dark in the desert, you'd probably want a lot of light!

I also added some scale tools like a jack and shovel.

And lastly, I put on lower aluminum trailing links in a smoke color.

Maybe I need my own build thread for this truck????

Hi, i recently bought a yeti score and it is awesome. I am upgrading some parts to alumnium and I ran into one problem during reassembly of the front a arms. One side the long screw will not thread back into the chassis plate. Threads must of gotten boogered up somehow. Is my only option buying a new chassis?

No there is a small plastic nut inside a pocket in the chassis. Many of us here have replaced those with a 3mm locknut that holds much better and is less likely to strip out.

Anyone else notice the rear sway bar flopping around in the housing?

Yeh, I noticed that too with the sway bar chassis mounts. Right now I'm not *too* concerned about it, since it's an off road truck with loose suspension. If it gets worse I'll try to correct it. I don't know if mine came that way, or it happened over the course of the limited use it's seen so far.

If it was one of my track/race vehicles, I'd be much more concerned and fix it immediately.
