I tried to assemble new Currie centered pumpkin rear axle together with Incision locker and original bevel gear (38T - AX30395) that was installed in old plastic axle.

To my big surprise, this did not went together at all Problem is, that incision locker is little wider than original plastic locker (AX80002). Interesting is that on Vanquish product pages there is mentioned in descriptions, that Currie axle should fit Incision locker together with original gears.

am i missing something?

For now, I will use plastic locker - this is perfect fit into the Currie...

There is nothing more to remove. Seems like spool is 1mm wider.

Currie centered pumkin axle assembly...

Had to file C-rings little bit...

Filled with silicone grease to not leave any room for water leaking in. Runs pretty smooth and easy so I hope it will not put any strain on motor.

And here is finished beauty

Might be the picture but they look about the same to me. The stock unit has a gasket between the housing and the gear. This is removed when using aftermarket lockers. With it, the setup will be too wide.

Thank you, I will check that once new HD gears arrive and I will open pumpkin. For now I will run stock locker.

I checked manual and now I see it - AX30385. I did not noticed that when breaking it apart. Too many beers :-D

Flipping front diff...

500.000 wt oil into the differential to tighten it but not lock...

And then filling whole assembly with silicone grease...

That is all for today

RPM arms with front GPM antri roll bar in place...

Vanquish knuckles and caster blocks with Incision VDI...

Had bad luck. One of the caster blocks delivered by Vanquish is either different type or unfinished - there is missing hole for the bottom pin :( I will ask for replacement...

Wont all that lube on the front diff gears just seep out all over the tub?

We will see. It is kind of a experiment as I have HD gears prepared and plan to install them soon.

Hahaha, this is very funny, now I know why I lost my right swaybar during first RTR drive. There is no threading on the right side! Shoud I ask Axial for replacement? This is second dissapointment from Axial after water leaking into "waterproof" receiver box causing it's malfunction. Yeti is fun car, but stock RTR version is really poor...

I contacted my local Axial distributor and they will hopefully replace sway bar and receiver unit. Asked me to send faulty parts to them...

Strange that they would want the old junk. What good is it? If you have any problems, just contact Axial directly. Their customer service is good. I had a bad esc in my Honcho rtr and they sent me a replacement without fuss.

No way. I contacted Axial directly and their response was that they serve only to US and directed me to some russian distributor (WTF - I live in central Europe). Then I wrote an email to german Axial distributor with no response for couple of days. Finaly ended up contacting seller from whom I bought my Yeti and that guy told me that he will take care of it :-D
