| Spaten Oktoberfest is a pretty good beer, especially for the price, ~$8 for a 6pk. If you like it, they have a Dopplebock called Spaten Optimator that's good too.

How much is the average cost of a case of beer in the US? (case as in 24 beers). Here for Budweiser it's $41.98 (I'm just using Bud as an example, I can't stand that crap). For 3 bottles of Guinness and 1 bottle of Sol it was $9 something last week, mind you we are taxed for everything except for breathing but I'm sure that'll be coming soon.

Lets just say I could probably buy a 24pk of Bud and ship it to you for less than what you buy it for. I stopped buying Bud since the sold the company. Trying to buy local also. Anyway I can get a case of Bud for under $20. I bought 8 - 16oz. cans of various beer up at the LCBO in Ontario last month and it cost around $18 which is nucking futz. Here is one of them. The three 22 ounce bottles I bought today total about $22. As was the Tangueray 750 mL. I spent $60 on booze today, and it'll likely be just about gone come Sunday night at bedtime. |

Tried a few different beers this week while in DC for business. Bell's Two Hearted Ale (Draft) - Decent, but a little too bitter for my tastes Boulder Fresh Tracks Wet Hopped Ale (Draft) - Pretty good, would definitely drink again Cooper's Pale Ale (Bottle) - Pretty good, very mild, easy to drink Bell's Hell Hath No Fury (Bottle) - Good, but the smoky aftertaste killed it for me Palm Belgian Pale Ale (Draft) - Decent, however, not nearly as good as most Belgian beers I've had Delirium Nocturnum (Bottle) - Good beer, but way too pricey for how good it is Flying Fish Exit 4 (Draft) - Excellent beer...my favorite of all the beers I tried this week |

Haven't found Guiness Extra Stout here, just Draught. Good to have a few while watching a hockey game.

You guys know of the lucky beer? The one with the price tag? The chosen one. Save it for last. Been doing that for years. Flying Dog. This beer is stupendous! So floral! So intoxicating! 8.3% IBU: 60 |
