Thank you for the education on proper terminology.
I wasn't aiming my photo at you. Just trying to point out its usually the media and movies that get so many people confused.

In 2005 alcohol was linked to 75,000 deaths from poisoning car wrecks. Guns in the same time period were responsible for 36,000 deaths, from accidental, to suicide to homicide. Instead offering gun safety courses in high schools and college and educating the populous about the responsibility of it (much like they did with alcohol) the left wants to just ban them.
I like your argument and all, but when was the last time someone robbed a store using a tequila bottle?

Saves calories. Nobody likes to look at a fat, nasty drunk!

They are the ones who could benefit the most from a mandatory minimum higher alcohol content!

I am a firm believer in a right to bare arms and I am also trained and very respectful of a firearm.

I have watched the events after the shooting and I still believe the scenario was just too perfect for somebody to protect themselves with there own firearm. I actually could see more victims had somebody shot back....

Some situations cannot be changed with somebody being armed against an attacker.

And I'll bet if someone would have shot back, being the coward that he was, he would have ran. Body armor or not it still hurts.

Maybe so but it was dark and he was wearing dark clothing. I could have seen more victims aka somebody else being shot by a bystander.

Thats my point...

What if you missed and hit someone else? Thats what hes/Im talking about.

How about this for size, Ill throw this one out and step back and see what happens. What if, you had been there and fired back missing and hitting someone else, killing them. In turn the coward runs off and you save oh IDK, 20 people from being shot/killed; is it worth it?

As for me, I know I couldnt live with having shot an innocent civilian because of in this particular situation, what I would call a disregard for others.

You can C&C here too, but neither of the local theaters will let you bring them inside.

Then pretty much everything being said is speculation and heresay.

What the gun advocates are saying is not that it would have been good for a person to shoot this psycho during his maylay.

Rather that this coward would have entered that theatre if it was a basic aspect of society that 3 out of 5 movie goers were armed, educated gun owners.

This type of coward would never knowingly give anyone a chance.

Then you would have missed if you were shooting at the muzzle flash--only way you could use the flash as a pinpoint is if he was shooting at your direction...

It was a perfect scenario for this guy to do what he did... Sad but true...

That really isn't fair to say. A person may be trained to carry and handle a weapon, but they aren't trained to react to situations like this nor are they trained on how to take a persons life. Even then, training is not always the same as real life.

You could have filled that theater with your average gun toters and I would guarantee you that 99.9% of them would have instinctively dropped to the floor and shit their pants.
