If this is your country then really, what is it do you have against what the founding fathers wanted every individual to have? You're opposition to The Second Amendment speaks volumes of your lack of Patriotism. In today's environment apparently words hurt people. Yet we aren't doing anything to combat that... You are merely a puppet that is regurgitating what you hear from your preferred news outlet. When this is pandemic is all over I encourage you to visit a gun range. You will find that those there are not the dumb inbred hillbillies the media wants to you believe. Are there bad apples in the gun ownership community? Absolutely. Just like there are bad apples in any other community. Automobiles? Street Racing is illegal yet still happens. Drugs are illegal, yet we still have cases where people get amped up, stealing things or overdosing. Than sure does make the recreational users look bad. Did you know that insider trading is illegal? How in the world can it still occur in common frequency? Mylanta! It's illegal. HOW ARE THEY STILL DOING IT?! The biggest risk anyone takes each day is getting behind the wheel of an automobile. Yet we aren't banning cars... If you don't like guns, then fine, you don't like guns. Don't buy any. Your comment about increasing the risk of gun violence if you own a firearm is moot. If you have a pool in your backyard you increase your chances of drowning. See how that works?

Calling someone's way of thinking "antiquated" is an opinion. Conservatives, by definition, have traditional beliefs. I really shouldn't have to explain that. Traditional thinking doesn't mean it's out of touch with reality. Again, that's your opinion. It's very apparent that you are extremely closed minded. I say that because your rebuttals are often personal attacks or laughing at the poster rather than having an intelligent and worthwhile counterpoint. At least you made a counterpoint here about bankruptcy. Yes, bankruptcy over healthcare is unfortunate. But guess what. Those people are often living beyond their means. All healthcare systems have drawbacks. Healthcare is designed to take care of your health first. Ours is one of the best at caring for patients. Being affordable while is a complicated problem that many intelligent people have been trying to solve. I guess when a progressive, like yourself, has an opinion that differs from mine I should say, "OK millennial." Do you see how stupid that sounds?

Yes, I agree. You do sound stupid. But seriously, our healthcare system isn’t lacking due to a dearth of good ideas. It’s the same story as so many other issues plaguing our people: our two party system is more akin to a two-headed beast, feeding from the same trough. We will never see real change until we have publicly funded elections, and K street lobbyists get tossed out on their asses. Unfortunately, the target demographic for the GOP (“We Love the poorly educated” -Trump) continues to vote against their own best interest. And saying that some of the people that went bankrupt from medical bills was due in part to their living beyond their means is wild speculation at best. The average cost of the medications used for treating cancer run around $100k/year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Last edited by spraytruckdolby; 04-18-2020 at 10:18 PM. |

We have so many different backgrounds and come from (a little) different cultures. I think it should be mandatory that all people in early adulthood had to live in various other countries before they settle at home. Then we'd all understand each other (and the world) better. Then I'd lie on a beach in Florida, with an assault rife in my belt, looking at hot ladies who are ready to sue me for nothing. I'd have a Ford F-350 right by me, and I'd eat lots of rather cheap burgers while wrestling with alligators in the evenings. And one of you guys could be here, dressed in blue chinese style communist farmer's uniform, drive around in a Toyota Yaris (biggest rig in town), paying your monthly salary for a Burger King meal, while walking in and out of hospitals and various doctors' offices for free every day just for fun, listening to electronic music. Then we could talk.. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk |

..And you're speculating that people are voting for Trump against their best interest. How do you know what is in their best interest? Does their best interest need to align with your beliefs?

Sign of the times... I have an OG SCX10 (kit build) that I have gutted like a fish and rebuilding. Last night I was in my shop, happily working on the electronics and listing to the Alt-Rock station out of Seattle. I realized that in the space of an hour I had heard four new songs, all dealing with the Covid, and/or quarantine. One of line from one of the songs that really brought my attention to this was "will you quarantine with me...". |

| Re: Coronavirus - Covid-19 I haven't seen any rednecks speaking about Europe. Most rednecks don't give a shit about foreign countries because they're too busy having fun. Or was that your roundabout way to call me a redneck and belittle me? Either way, you are ignorant and your arguments are weak. That is the reason you always resort to name calling.
