They had it on display at RC Expo in Long Beach. I hope this means they are close because I'm itching to upgrade to brushless and this sounds like it's going to be a great motor.

We're working on them guys, we had some major setbacks with the early protos. I'm really pushing to get these out soon!

just a noobie question.
how will this motor be diferent / better than the tekin pro4 ?
why?
will it be better to wait for this motor? or just buy a tekin pro4 3300kv?
Does the pro4 3300kv can run in 4s? (i know you advise to run it on up to 3s)
or is it more like the tekin redline 21.5t or 17.5t? these two redline motors run best on 4s right?
thanks.

Totally different than a Pro4. This motor/system is meant to give crawlers a brushless option from Tekin with comparable performance to using brushed motor counterparts. As for the rest, I'll let Ty answer.

i understand you, no problem about a small error in the brushed motor.
Thanks for your input.
But doesnt the pro4 give low end also? I know you like very litle speed and brushed is your best bet but tekin has lots of motors that can suit that demand right?
Thanks.
Should i wait for this motor or not?
Best regards

The Pro4 3300 uses brute power to work in our crawlers. The crawler specific motors will probably be a lower KV motor to help on the bottom of the power curve.

As for waiting, this thread is almost 2 years old and there still is no firm product spec's or actual release date. If you would have bought a Pro4 the day this thread was posted, you would have worn it out by now. I say go pro4 and laugh at the people who wait another 2 years.

i thought it was closer to arrives...
I have ordered already a pro4 3300, but i would like to feel the taste of this litle thing also ;), but i need it before i die rsrsr.
I will see if my heart will be strong enought to work with the pro4 and my pocket will be also $$$$.
Cheers, and thanks violator for your kind input.

It won't be another 2 years. Honestly this thread was posted very prematurely, we had no intention of letting info out on the motors at iHobby but it happened anyways. We have a lot of projects going on all at the same time, blah blah blah excuses I know. I know how you guys are, you want it perfect, performance-wise, price-wise and I'm trying to make it that way.

X2

I've been running the Pro 4, 3300 with a RX8 and love it. I only wish I would of done it sooner.

Once this motor comes out, I'll give it a try too.

Love your products Tekin.

I have the same question as Cravo has, "how will this motor be different / better than the Tekin pro4 "

I am getting close to going brushless on mine and my sons Wraiths, but I am stuck waiting. I am reading about Holmes and Tekin soon to be offering new brushless so I sit and wait. But I wonder, how are these new motors going to be so different from the Pro4.

Different kV ranges than the Pro4, so 3 or 4 options instead of really 1. 1/8" output shaft vs the 5mm of the Pro4. The insides are tweaked a little bit, so while it is the same design motor, there are some little differences to better suit it for crawling.

Lol well as long as you know. But seriously... Tekin stuff has been flawless, performance and footprint wise for me. Looking forward to crawler specific products in the future

The biggest improvement will be the buttery smooth low end torque and drag brake
