If you buy two from HobbyPartz you would get free shipping. May as well throw in a 6 channel receiver while you're at it.

I can see my son wanting orange (see his orange XR-10 build thread), I might do orange or grey.
Moving away from the beloved 4pl?

He still loves his 4PL, but not loving what it will cost to get a few more RX's. For that money, he could do a hacked GT3B/C (although 4PL RX's are ~1/2 a 3PM-x RX).

I may have a line on a used GT3B for him to try out (cheap). Since most of his rig is orange, I can see him wanting an orange GT3C.

So, what's the word on when you'll have hack kits for the new radio? Is it a relatively easy install or similar to the B?

I believe the GT3C hack kit is the same as the GT3B.

I was looking for info yesterday and the OverKillRC site was having issues with my laptop.

My guess is you need to solder in the 4 pin header somewhere so you have access for your cable. This time I'll be a wee bit more careful and try no to yank anything off the main board

Install guide is on page 95 of the other thread.

http://www.overkillrc.com/GT3C/Insta...anual%20v0.pdf

Uses a different header and an adapter but easier (I think having done both) than the B.

Pete.

Thanks Pete. I do have one of those headers left because I bought two when I did my GT3B. I have no idea where it is though. I'll have to order a GT3C now.

Also, what are you guys getting for battery life? My GT3B with 2000mah NiMH cells and the VR mod runs for quite some time and I find I can charge the cells right in the radio with a .2a trickle from my charger (need to cycle several times because it times out at 2 hours though).

Say WHAT?!?!?! Get to it, although it's probably not much different than the "B".

I've torn apart lots of C's, i was referring to the one hobbypartz sales, people were asking about the internals of how the steering wheel issue was fixed.

I don't plan on tearing it apart till i have time to install the frsky module.

I'm interested in this also as the only appeal to me is buy a C with the lipo in place or mod my B to take a lipo.
