Now at $38. And taking it apart.

This is already done for $36

That one has steel gears? Says "HV", so 7.4 rated?
30kg/cm? That's about 417oz/in - how are you powering it?
A source?

I bought one of those blue servos and one of these
https://www.rcjuice.com/servos/jx-se...tal-servo.html

The blue one lasted about 3hrs before the bottom gear stripped in a 6lb scaler. The more expensive 46kg one is still going strong in my 8lb Trx4. It’s developed a small amount of slop in the gears but nothing major.

My 46kg fried upon connection to 3S, taking out the stock TRX-4 ESC with it.

Not recommended!

Not with everything, but with servos I recommend spending over $100 on something nice. They pay for them selves since you don't have to replace them as often.

I like to keep some of these cheap servos on hand in case my wife finds a secret stashed RC Car that puts me over my allowed number and I need to sell it on the quick.

Knowing that this happened, SUCKS, makes me want to spend the money on something better.
Its like all these $40 buck servos are useless for crawling.

Time to upgrade now !

We're in 'reef' country.
Claxton will fix you right up. The '444' is really popular for 1.9's.

It's hard to beat the DS3218 if it has enough torque for your application. If not, then a Promodeler, Holmes Hobbies, or Reefs RC is the answer.

I have one of the JX BLS-12V7146, and 4 of the JX CLS-12V7346. All are running strong. No issues except i stripped out a cheap aluminum servo arm because of the torque Very strong and cant beat them for the price

I do. Bought quite a few for some of my projects. All still running strong and as noisy as the day I got them!

Wasn't sure where to put this public service announcement, so here seems as good a place as any. I run many promodeler servos, so this isn't a bash against the company, in fact I think the 470 is the best servo for the money.

That said, do NOT purchase a 360 for scaler or crawler use
I broke the gears in one in 10 minutes, and my neighbor broke the gears in less than 2 months. John wouldn't warranty them, stating that the 360 is not suitable for surface use at all other than 1/10 2nd buggy. He says the gears break at 450oz/in and I believe him. So even though on paper the 360 seems up to the job, and it does muscle around 4.75" tires with ease, it just can't take the shock loads delivered in our trucks. Supposedly all this is listed on their site under the FAQ, but neither of us saw that before buying.

My neighbor is trying to get john to credit his $50 towards a 470. We'll see how that goes.
