My neighbor next door has a machine (CNC) that needs some work. He does not have the funds to repair it. I believe he said about $1500.00 in parts. Be a great excuse to do some playing with the toys.

Heheh! Well in all honesty my mill may take another change into a horizontal mill but well see. Oh the joys of failed ideas

In the MEANTIME I need to decide on a HF band saw... man it would make my life easier... maybe I should also fix up our HF lathe in the meantime...

Here is a UPDATE : Received the Vanquish Products .725 Hubs yesterday. I don't think they could be a better fit into Calvins Wheels. The offset is PERFECT !

Just a few quick photos to showcase these bad Boy's !

Mate,

What additional bracing do you have between the chassis rails at the front end, given you have the servo where the foremost cross member used to be?

I never realised your servo was sucked up into the chassis so much.

Actually at the time that I was starting the build. Dh Fab was still at least producing. I was hoping to utilize his Amazing skills to produce a bumper with a protective shield for the servo. This also would have replaced the missing brace in the front. I did install additional structural bracing in between the shock hoops. So, without question it is on the list of mods. Anyone with a idea please bring it forward.

I would like to see them too. I am hoping to finish it off with all of the axle components (Internal) before the initial run. Still in need of the lockers gears have been ordered. I have Beef Toobs (one of the last original sets) pending install till I get the rest.

I have to admit I would like to wait to do a video until I get the body back from rockthrasher. I am suppose to contact him in late January ( I am on the schedule ).

How do you feel about the spring rates? Looks to be too soft?
