LOL ! If anyone knows it would be you at this point. Actually I do have a slipper for that exact reason. Because you are absolutly right something will need to give somewhere.

Did you ever decide on bearings ? And what type ? I could not believe on the cost on the Avid .

I'm going to be testing a couple different brands, I've got FastEddy in it now, picked up some, HPI, I have some Traxxas, and a friend gave me some high $ swiss ones from the aircraft industry.

Besure to keep us updated what is holding up. I am quite sure I will be headed down this road hopefully soon.

Second on my agenda :

I received my Spur gear cover today that was donated by a very generous man for Christmas . He even sent me a cool sticker ! Thank you again Drail !

: shock::s hock:

Geez Highland now that I got $ in my paypal I think it wants to fly out again

Daniel, looks GOOD! Now go out there and DRIVE IT! Will ya I got my Dig servo in for Hobbes so off to work on her and figure out this whole rim thing... speaking of which for those guys who had questions about rims and read the thread, I am in a slight delema without access to a band saw till the 3rd of next year, so I am going to try my luck with a table saw cutting my Delrin but I hope to get the rims out to you guys sooner than later so keep an eye on your PM inboxes

Actually I have had a idea for quite sometime. It will be a little while still till it becomes a reality. I am on the books with Rockthrasher in Febuary. So it will be a while.

I took a measurement for you Walter, I never checked it until you asked . It appears to be sitting right at 10 1/2 ". The tapered body really makes it look wider don't you think.

Now Calvin, I still need the lockers from Highlandcrawler to do the assembly of the axles. Also I still need a receiver for it. I know which one I want. I just keep putting money into other parts first.
I have to admit to everyone I tend to enjoy the building process more than anything.

If you weren't pulling my chain, I would not think you liked me anymore. I am looking for a paticular Futaba receiver the R2106gf, it is nice and small (They are on Ebay). I want to get everything into the electronics box out back.

OUCH ! I hate when I measure twice and cut once and still mess it up ! That Orange is pretty though. Well from my experience with the dig servo is not big torque. But, a hit in a fall might be a minor problem.

Yeah oh well! It works for proto work I will work on a more "impressive" one later. I am waiting on a spacer block for my mill so I can make rims. Having 2.25"
of throat distance and trying to machine a chuck 3" away doesn't go to pretty
