On a shortcourse track? No doubt. Against shortcourse trucks? That depends on the race rules and regulations of whatever track you're trying to race at.

Saw this thing in person today and I must say I was thouroughly impressed. I can't tell you how much better it looks in person. I was blown away and will most definitely be getting one.

GCRad told me that they should be out Jan1.

Does anyone have any idea of whether or not a standard 2.2 wheel will fit or will it only run SC wheels?

If they used 12mm hubs like their other rigs then you should be able to run any wheel with a 12mm hub.

Yes technically that should be true, unless it's a similar situation with the Slash 4x4 which uses 12mm hexes but can't fit any true 2.2 sized wheels because the knuckles are oversized.

Shopping around for a reliable and inexpensive brushless system for this thing. I plan to run 2S 5000mah batteries, possibly 3S later on. Any suggestions?

What's your idea of inexpensive? Tacon/xerun or mmp/1415?
