Can't wait to see this thing completed. Maybe if it is here soon enough you can make it to my fall invitational!

crawleR07, base on the other reply you posted, I assume you got it now. We had some delays with the free replacement parts, but everybody should got them by now. And we are making more of them just in case. Here are few things that we are improving on: - Softer springs for internal shocks - Softer leaf springs (already started public testing as of today) - Front billet battery trays

a front billet battery tray would be sweet

RC4WD the upgrades you are working on are spot on, the trailfinder will be even better once those little details are figured out. Nice work.

Here is a tip from our friends Team-Energy from Switzerland, to solve the stiff shock issue:

dont use internal spring and use one leaf spring only.

and here is a picture of his truck

I just took out the O-ring closest to the middle of the shaft and it freed up the travel a lot plus the one O-ring left on the bottom helps keep the oil in the shock. I found some springs that are supposedly out of a ford or chevy alternator that have the same shape and length and are much softer, I know that's not the easiest thing to locate but it's worked very well for me and I know some of you gear heads out there have some layin' around

I tryed the single leaf spring and the rear springs got bent from the axle wrap when under a hard load. I found running 2 springs and weighted rims made a huge difference.

in this pick there are still 3 springs in the front but 2 in the back. I switched to front spring hangers and rear shackles for a scale look. after the picks I removed 1 of the front springs, no picks yet but good flex.

I ran the middle length leaf on top of the full length leaf in the rear so it would fight the axle wrap but it would still flex well because only the bottom leaf is working when the suspension compresses.

my body mounts are not matching up:-( the front mount needs to be moved forward about a 1/2 inch.

also, are you guys just tightening the shackles that hold the leafs on just enough to get movement. If I over tighten, the leafs don't move at all, but I don't want nuts falling off while I'm driving. I never had this problem with the high-lift

Heres the link to my post that shows how I did my mounts.

Hilux Trailfinder Scaler

I tighten the shackle bolts down just enough to let them move freely, I think this thing will need a spare nut and bolt kit wherever it goes though. I'm thinking of going through everything with a medium thread locker.

701. I used washers on the inside of the swinging shackles where they mount to the chassis. Then I tightened the nut all the way down and then a 1/4 turn back off. This worked great and allowed for movement without the nut coming off.

we did something similar with a buddies rig. its a nice idea but not practical when you are working on it as the body is in the way or needs to be proipped up
