as far as longer rod end, what if you reduced the upper mount some how, like having the shock go THROUGH the upper mount and bolting on top instead of underneath, effectively re-positioning the shock higher, and out of the way of the steering.

It should make for a ‘stiffer’ setup.


Looking at the way the ‘struts’ are mounted, you could essentially add a top mount spacer/puck lift on top of the ‘strut’ and under the cup. Just like a 1:1.

Would it be possible for an entire lift kit like this to be printed and bolted on? That’d be too damned cool if it could happen.

that's pretty damn impressive about the adjustable reservoirs though!

All that suspension stuff could be accounted for by someone that knows what to do in CAD or a machinist.

A guy on FB has already designed and printed a 9mm spacer lift kit with a front bumper relocation mount. haha I think he is on RCC but can't recall the name. He is offering the print file for free, I believe.

i like where your head is at.
but i am pretty sure moving shocks in on the lower arm makes suspension softer.
and the lift kit and bumper relo seems like a good first upgrade. along with wheels/tires.
i just want to see actual bumper replacement options in the future.
some nice stuff out there for the 1:1.

Yep. I was thinking about my Bomber and Yeti. Moving the top to make it more vertical and not the lower mount. Angles, leverage, yada yada.

Shocks eye to eye are ~ 47mm-64mm. Compressed, extended.

88-ish mm stock tars, 1.9 beadlocks.


97-ish mm with 8mm lift but do rub up front on turns.

Main leaf’s are metal. Helper’s and clips are plastic.
They are really smooth, as are the shocks.

Not really a bummer as the rear end is leaf setup is butter smooth to me. Good call on the u-bolt swap. I am about to imbark on a dreaded body prep and paint chore for this body/interior. I hate sanding and painting.

I'd be most concerned about the plastic clamps, but those would be fair easy to fabricate out of metal.

Yhe current u bolt setup is actually true to the 1:1. That's how they look on a real raptor.

So its Saturday night. I'm goofing off early and already watched imthatguy's in boxing vid.

That was annoying. And even more so, it's a 4mm bolt required to make the part, which I did. Off camera. The brake calipers and discs are cool, but so close to every other wheel I have, they may not work unless I use their plastic wheel pin doo-dads. I think I'll cut the frame today. Nothing like destroying a toy I've never even run.
