Do post pics of said frame mutilation?
I'm still considering paint schemes.
Good thing there is a v2 raptor in forza horizon 4 and great paint editor! ;) the community designs are almost like cheating!

Also Durok I'm still waiting for that friend request...

*btw there is a medium length running vid out there. Looks like that's where frank211 got the image on the rocks?
**link... Dude really sends it a couple times!

**Oh! Oh! Annnd! The fun haver also has a currie rear axle! Wouldnt THAT be neato under there?! Then I could put a locker and be done. Cant see any reason to unlock the rear diff anyhows. Any peg leg car I ever had was no fun.
I would still keep the servo hooked up to the front though.

I need to order this darned thing already, the suspense is killing me!

Yes, but there are many companies that offer U-bolt flip kits for 1:1 trucks so it's not out of scale to do it on this truck.

Nice! Do you have the tool to remove the wheels? It needs like a 3 or 4mm nut driver which is a bit uncommon.

Maybe ImThatGuy can confirm what size is needed, he must have his wheels off by now

Lol yup RC4WD added a note to the bottom of the page for both the rtr and artr versions...
Note: you will need this 4mm hex wrench to remove wheels
https://store.rc4wd.com/RC4WD-40mm-M...ol_p_5535.html

I plan on a lift and wheel swap also. Nothing crazy. Haha my 79 will be more capable than this one... Whenever that gets done...?

Xmas is coming...

In case anybody still cared,

I've printed my own body mounts, and am in the process of converting to a GCM drivetrain.

yup! still interested both here and there ;)

i like that shot that teases the GCM transmission through the grill...

speaking of those 4mm wheel screws, when you pull off the stock wheels and bolt on those methods for example, do you still get the brake discs and calipers or does that fancy stuff come off and get changed to an RC4WD type pin hub adapter?

Comes off because the disc is so wide in diameter a normal wheel won't fit over it. I have a backup plan.

i wait with bated breath good sir!

i suppose it would be asking a lot to fit those big rotors and calipers inside a wheel with internal beadlocks (read: "stuff" in the way). really looking forward to seeing what you do!

Very cool! You did a great job cleaning up the 3D printed surface.

Do you just sand a ton or is there some filler or primer used to get it nice and flat?

Is the GCM drivetrain replacing the stock setup due to anything in particular? Just curious.

Thanks, it's going to be a fun build.

I wish I could take credit, but my friend pardonmyn00b did all the prep on the body, because we bought two at the same time and I'm lazy. There was a ton of sanding, as well as priming. Filler primer should be used sparingly.

GCM's going in because I can. Nothing wrong with the stock bits, just didn't want to use a GRU. If I'm honest, I bought this because plug and play IFS.
