ZNO great comp! The weather was very nice no wind and just enough sun down in the canyon. It shows that you guys have been doing this for awhile!! Great group of guys great participation on everyone's part.

Just as a heads up on the final scores: The difference between 1st and 2nd place in the 1.9 class was, for the day, 30 seconds!

Thanks Evan for the great pics and video. Thanks to everyone for all the help in setup and tear down. Yes even thanks to Cory for setting up course #2 which was the hardest most technical course we have run in a long time. We had a lot of fun and the weather was perfect.

The 1.9 class is getting scary competitive. running that close makes you rethink your strategy at every gate.

Sweet! I have to thank Cory and Rush especially Cory for his help and allowing me to run with his team he would have killed me seeing my winch is still in the contraction phase I would have picked up a hand full of penalty winch minutes on some of the uncrawlable gates without a winch assist. Cory has helped me out a ton setting up my truck for the 100+ gate outdoor courses. Talking with Cory and others has my mind spinning on stuff to make things smother in the future outdoor events.

It's a dangerous sport. Just one comp and your in it good. Just look at the money pits we call our rigs. I still have a list of parts I want to get for my 2-2. I'm contemplating turning a 7950TH into a servo winch with a tekin speed control to power it. Now that's a winch!

why would you need a speed control to power it. could direct power it with 8.5 volts and have signal cable coming from the reciever

The signal from the receiver won't create the power required to continuously power the servo for a winch. To make a servo winch work you need to remove the circuit board in the servo and replace it with a controller like the HeyOk controller (or a speed control for multiple speed options and high power capabilities).

Cory - you ever want to run some mock comps or tune and test rigs let me know. i would be up for it. You need to check out the video of you leading the 4 truck pull up the hill. Both courses where great like that different people did each one so you get different styles. Like them both for different reasons.

Well the weather is really looking up so it starts to open up some options. We were thinking possibly Owyhee's but thats in the same area (kind of) that we just were so instead I'm thinking Warm Springs. Thoughts?

We went up there a couple of weeks ago, and the gate was closed and locked. Not sure when it gets opened up. It's a short hike up, but not very convenient for setting up. Plus parking is an issue when the gate's locked.
