Just moved in with my lady over the weekend... it's temporary till I find a place. I'm looking to buy something that I can rent out should I choose to vacate. On a side note, Adam and I walked up and down 3 flights of stairs for 16 hours on Saturday! And then all day Sunday, most of Monday and I finally finished cleaning and getting everything out last night. |

moving sucks. ed - going thru all my shit these past couple months im not as freaked as i was. i dont have as much junk as i thought, and the majority of stuff is rc related. place were looking at has a pond with fish in it i guess, a polebarn that needs a ton of work (but hey, a polebarn...), a nice pool, a gazeebo, a 2 car garage (thats in dire need of updating) and is on 2 acres completely surrounded by huge trees and bordered to the east by a winerys grape orchard... its a time capsule from the 70's, and the same family has lived in it for the past 40 years since it was built. only one that remains is a 95 year old lady who does nothing but garden all day. theres a bit of upkeep for all the landscaping and pool and shit, but overall a very neat place. lots of room to build a sweet little rockcourse. ricks jeep is going beast mode. the imex tires are bigger than the voodoo u4s but i wanted to show the xr curries. they are nice but i wish the link mounts were a bit further spaced out than the scx setup... rick wanna little side job? i also got rid of the wraith trans for a scx bombproof so i could have a decent intermediate shaft angle. short wheelbase and big tires with xr width should be a fun little c3. gonna do lowww slung, mostly droop. and a couple little shorty intermediate shafts i cut and brazed. i wish mip would make something like this. |

little more sensible with the voodoos. ;) btw the vp scale wraith chubs and knuckles and brass bushings are all super nice. clamp design means the damn chubs wont need to be hammered off the damn axle. Last edited by badhoopty; 06-03-2015 at 11:13 PM. |

BTW, anyone need a Repsol replica bike? I'm going to get a new one, maybe this weekend, and I'm going to sell my 600. It's a 2003 but it has all the bells and whistles and has been completely rebuilt.

I love it... rock crawling with a bike, it's a blast. I think we're going up to Devil's Lake to camp this weekend. I'll take Melons and the Surly.

Yeah, I've been to all over MI. As a kid , growing up in OH, we camped in the UP, family in the Ann Arbor area and teen exploration in Detroit. The past few years wedding's took me to Holland and Grand Rapids. I've been really wanting to do a brewery tour up in GR or Holland... rent a house on the lake (Holland) and have at it! I plan on camping up there this summer too. |

TOTALLY enough space for a u4 track or little mini rubicon thing. with both the pool and the pond im definitely building the sic410 jetboat. http://www.realtor.com/realestateand...9_M33634-22582 ...also worked out a deal to keep all the 70s furniture. ****ing excited/scared as shit. but mother****ers i definitely got room for some bigger toys!! and a car trailer for sure! woot! |

...we got it for cheaper. ;) its totally badass. same family in it since it was built in 73. now its just a 95 year old widow who spends her days taking care of the flowers and garden. its a total time capsule and totally setup to entertain and just live. i like that its a doable (but long) daily commute to the city if i need to pick up a freelance gig here and there. gonna wait a bit before i ease the gf into letting me build a rock garden/ttc course. ;) gonna be some work and figuring out how to make money but its gonna be an adventure. puppies and kittens are gonna happen to! I tried to do the 600 thing. It's just not for me. Don't get me wrong, it's a badass little machine, I'm just more of a liter bike guy. I feel like I'm too big for it. And I've never really been a Honda guy. I'd rather be on a Yamaha or Kawasaki.

I was out bid yesterday on this 1983 CB1100F. It's currently just over $4000 with 2 days left and in Chicago. I feel that's a bit much for an 83... even though it only has 11,000 original miles. and I'm currently the top bidder on this 1975 CB550... but the reserve has not been met. It's in Vermont. |
