i think im gonna get some currie xr tubes for this thing and kinda hulk it out a little. instead of the tsls im gonna run the voodoo u4s and kick the wb out another inch or so. it can always go back to the scx width but i got enough of that size. ;)

going to also order a spawn wraith interior and see how that looks. if it works itll lose some scale points but gain a ton of room to mount the elecs and not have to stuff everything out of site and make it all a pita to get too.

looks burly and not too out of scale, right? def has more a ttc feel.

Our little G6 was a good time Sunday. Course took the top team about 2 1/2 hours. We did a simple G6 style score card form. You guys should try and make it to the next event we have. Were thinking end of summer.

My TF2 sits up way too high. I need some flatter springs. Anyone have any suggestions? I have hi-lift springs on it. I wonder if that made it taller.

I need it to sit more like this.

That looks pretty darn close!

Can you flatten the springs out at all? Maybe tweak them in a vise?

Well I think it looks closer because the tires are oversized more than they should be. The fact that the real one is a long bed may just make it look a little lower too. I broke my original TF2 springs that came with the kit. I wonder if they are any lower...

I probably should just not worry about it. I'm sure eventually I'll want to put a taller tire on it and play with it.

I sent you a PM a couple weeks ago with a few options...

I'm not going so I would like for you to send me (or John: rckrwlr) the ticket purchase info (numbers) so I can get my money back... which will go to your credit card.

And I'm willing to pay my share of the rental but would much rather someone else take my place and split the cost with you...

if you really want to match the stance of the real truck you should go spring under axle and get smaller tires but i imagine spring under would tuck the diffs up into the trans and crossmembers too much. on a 1:1 you get like 6" lift just going spring over axle. it would pretty much be the first thing you would do to a stock yota, so i say just build it like its your dads old 1:1 that you are making a trail rig out of.
