Rick, I'm a little jealous of your new purchase! SC10 factory team! That was a good choice. Can't wait to see it!

Anyone I need of some misc hex hardware? I've got a decent little bag of it. I can bring it tomorrow. Not selling it, just giving it away to whoever needs it. It's all black that I've since replaced with stainless.

Thanks, theres actually a good deal on one in the classifieds right now. I figured I'd pick something up that actually falls into a class that I can tinker with and see if I'm any good at 2wd sct. The FT SC10 seems to be a hot ticket or atleast they have potential..and they aren't all that expensive.

I don't have it yet but, from the sounds of it.. You and me both did overhauls on our traxxas trucks.. Now, time for some test & tune!

See you guys tomorrow at 10:30-11:00am

Yeah Jason.. See what you can do tomorrow. Seeing how far you are away, your probably not going to make it to the track often but, if your ever gonna go, tomorrow is the day! Everyone will be there. They are even talking about crawling & boats tomorrow too. I've seen some bodies of water really close to the track.

They have tires galore there and bodies.. I dont think their batteries are cheap enough for me though.

its not the distance but the traffic. mornings are usually fine but after lunch there just isnt any hope of getting in or out of the city in under an hour.

i'm pretty much ready. i'll decide tomorrow morning. i wanna go, but todays traffic coming back into chicago took alot out of me.

on a plus note i eliminated a good deal more slop at the wheels by shimming the hex pins to the outer bearings. for a used truck its actually pretty tight, i forget i could just buy tires and wheels there. thats a bonus.

2 of my 3 2s lipo packs for the rc10s are medium puffed and im sure have lost their punch. the one that isnt is ironically my oldest lipo. and a maxamps.

anyhoo if i come tomorrow i'll just bring the track rigs and the boat.

I hear that! The Kennedy inbound sucks starting at 294 no matter the day. That's the primary reason I moved to Downers. I used to take it home every single afternoon. I couldn't take it any more.

Well I have a cut up little loop I play on here at the house. I've run my XXX-sct (need to install the TLR kit on it), and two different 22's on it. I have to say the SCTE feels like cheating comparatively. I can break it loose and drift it pretty accurately. I'm really looking foreward to getting it on a high bite track.

So are you guys running outside I assume??

Actually, primarily inside but a few runs outside. Until I got hit in the side of my knee by an 1/8th scale buggy flying over a jump.

awesome time today. so glad i didnt cheese out and stay home.

the outdoor track was really cool but a pita with no real marshalling. TONS of grip & big jumps. kinda hard to get used to with it being sooo big.

inside was hardpacked and a little choppy but really fun with the slashes. pretty fun with the old rc10 buggy as well, but i only ran it when the beasts of destruction werent on the track. ;)

i fought my deans connections all day on the slash... im hoping that the deans on my velineon is at fault, never had an issue with the packs on the wraith, but the brxl doesnt have the push button on/off switch that the velineon has. i think all it takes is a moment of the deans not passing current (casing a jump) and it would reset the velineon.

regardless im definitely getting track-specific 2s and 3s lipos.
