I went to the track. Lots of action. 2wd buggy, 4wd buggy, 2wd sct, 4wd sct, 1/8 buggy (nitro & electric)... Couple races of each class. The 2wd buggys were fun to watch.. So petite and fragile looking but they have a certain finese. I like the 2wd sct though.. Some dudes have their trucks dialed in pretty good. I kept the controller out of my hand so, I didnt break anything. I did however have my phone in my hand and took some videos. Ill load them up before sunday. All outdoor racing today, no indoor. They were still going when I left.. Putting the lights up and whatnot. I cant wait for sunday!! Ahh!

I traded my brand new MattZilla Trail chassis for a Dingo SCX10 chassis with F/R tube bumpers, tube sliders and a SCX10 tranny. I got my Tamiya Bronco body in and even tho the WB on the MZ chassis was perfect, the front and rear were too long. But if you have never seen the Tamiya body, it is real nice and the best scale look I have seen on a lean body. Comes with chrome addons like the Unimog does. So now I have another C2 project I won't get too this year.

i do know its best not to try and air everything. i had to re-calibrate my esc's tonight since i dont have the tx i used on my buggies, and therefore lost all my esc settings... i wish i had written them down somewhere. |

Well got the diffs re-lubed (always time for lubrication) and springs changed to something slightly softer as I was experiencing a lot of chattering over the smaller bumps on the back straight. Gotta go deal with the girl (whee.. or whatever this **** is) and then gonna put some new shock oil in. I'll plan to be there about 10:30-11 with my Slash and the boat...

Took my Wraith down to the creek in Algonquin, about 10 mins from LiTH Hobbytown. Rocks similar to Busse with a wide creek bed of gravel, a little mud and some big rocks. most of the area I was at was mid wheel on my IRoks. Got over them once. Played for about 10 mins before I jammed by front and stripped something in my steering. This could be an alternative for Sundays when we go to the track. Would be fun with the Jet boats but too shallow for the Miss Geico's |

| Re: NIRC. Chit Chat Me too... I rebuilt the center diff. It was really sloppy, much like yo momma! . Red mud had replaced any grease or oil. I think it would have done fine at the track with this... setup. The diff was so loose it always went in a straight line but didn't feel good, a hem, much like yo momma! ( I kid I kid ) Anyway, I packed it all full of gooey rock lube, dropped the pinion to a 13 and now it's a maniac! A lot less control under throttle but a lot more fun. Speaking of lube? Quote:

Video's look sweet! Makes me feel a little bit better. I could do that and at least not feel like an idiot. It's nice to see how they're taking the jumps too, now I know how to approach that triple...instead of trying to clear the whole thing in one single bound! Changed my shock oil today 55k front 45k rear, switched out and adjusted the sway bars, rebuilt the diffs 10k front 7k rear, switched out a few bearings that were a little rough adjusted toe-in and camber and set ride height! Ha, I sound like I know what I'm doing! I used the slayden setup for most of it. Oh and I put a new body on...kinda crappy tape job resulted in a ton of black overspray. Oh well, at this rate I'll destroy it tomorrow anyway. Can't put too much effort into it if I'm just going to trash the shit out of it. I need to work on that. READY TO GO BITCHES!!!! |

I smoked a BRAND new HS-7954T on the Wraith. If I get up early enough to swap it out, I will bring the wraith. The spot I was at really will only work with C3 trucks though I didn't walk the creek. I know there are some more spots as I can see them from 31. So maybe spots for the C2/C1s.

Went nose down in a hole, the weight of the Wraith and the angle cranked the zero full right while it was trying to center and I couldn't back out, had to scramble down the rocks to get to it and by the time I got there it was toast.
