Dudes! The slash was sweet! It corners SOOO much better! I really like the new chassis. It's definitely harder to work on. Had a servo go out and you have to pull the whole top plate off to change it. Other than that it ran great. It's also super easy to clean. Still got some tuning to do but she's getting pretty speedy!

track was fun yesterday. had way more fun with my buggy than the slash, but i think its because i was the only one with a stocker rig out there. kinda hard to keep up in the corners with the low cg guys. ;)

i gotta vent... those guys who just sit on the wall at the end of turn one with their feet dangling on the track really piss me off. i would appreciate not hitting some guys damn feet for a change.

and also, if you have to walk out onto the track to retrieve your rig, it helps to be a little aware of the other people on the track. i cant tell ya how many times somebody would just walk out onto the track like there was nobody else running. but aside from that, good times.

for the first time EVER i am very disappointed in a MIP product... i thought you guys were talking about the keyed hexes stripping on the axles and i couldnt for the life of me see how that could happen, but now i see what you guys were talking about and i cant believe how easy it is to strip a wheel hex with the mid hexes... granted i should have checked my wheel nuts since i think those getting a little loose helped me strip a hex, but damn... what a shitty hex design.

i ordered the teknos last night. probably get one of the low cg chassis's here when they become available.

Well, It's that time of year again.. Another birthday for me this week. Is 29 too young to have a mid-life crisis? As long as I die before 58, It's ok right?

Ehhh.. You know what they say.. "If ya ain't gettin' older, you're dead."

It's ok I hit a few feet, only got one bad look.. Hrmm who was where they were supposed to be??

Well next time I'll have my buggy ready and we can have some fun. AKA watching me crash LOL.

The servo in my SCTE cooked!!!! I had the EPA's set too. I think It may have had an issue. I put it on my programmer/servo tester and It immediately melted the bottom of the case and started smoking! I'm hoping I didn't fry my programmer too.. This one is going back to Hitec.

So the Stock slash 4x4 just doesn't cut it on the track?

Yeah, I think I was a feet dangler last time for a bit. Oops.

Thanks John.

I wouldn't say the stock slash doesn't cut it.. Its just not race inspired. Its more of a basher IMO.
For a GTG at the track, it's good enough to have fun with.

not at all the case. if i drove well i could keep up somewhat with chucks sc104x and treys slash. i wasnt really trying to race anybody, just having fun and trying different things. i think if you just spend the time to get a really good setup, a stocker slash can be competitive with our little gang of newbs...

but i'll say it again, i had alot more fun with my close to 20 year old buggy.

there were like 4 or 5 guys doing it this time. and when you start to always be hitting the guys feet it gets a little irritating. it wouldnt be so bad but thats the exact area you want to try and run to get a shot at clearing the triple on 2s.

and you would think those guys would be better drivers...
