Here we go, the official answer is in!

As an email goes, this conversation is from bottom to top, the message I stated I wrote Horizon Hobby is at the bottom - followed with their generic response - followed with my more in-depth explination - followed with Horizon Hobby emailing back and forth with Team Losi - ending with Horizon Hobby emailing me back.

Yes the customer is correct. We will have to make a change to the manual
and website.

Thanks,

Hi Team Losi,
I have a customer who has reason to believe the Trail Trekker includes
the High Power Motor, part number LOSB1751, can you please confirm this
for me. You help in this matter would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

I know the manual lists that as the motor, the manual is wrong and
that's my concern.

LOSB0833 has two little nicked vents in one side, the LOSB1751 has a big
hole cut into each side of the can. All the Losi Micro Rock Crawlers
come with the motor that has the holes cut in both side of the can which
is part number LOSB1751.

Having the manual state that is a nasty error. I've been on the phone
with both you guys, and Losi about this and they both confirm the issue,
they confirimed it by grabbing a Trail Trekker and physically looking at
the motor to see that it is LOSB1751.

So my concern is obvious, if someone were to email support, like I just
did, they will get an answer like I just did because all you guys are
doing is reading the parts listing and seeing the error, and repeating
the error to whom ever is asking.

I'm requesting that this get investigated, because it really should
should get addressed. I personally own two Trail Trekkers, one High
Roller, two Micro Rock Crawlers, and on Micro DT.... and the Micro DT
comes with motor LOSB0833, and all the other micro's come with LOSB1751.
I have two buddies that also have Trekkers, they two have motor LOSB1751
in their Trekker. I went to Ryder's Hobby shop and asked if I could
look at one of their Trial Trekkers on the shelve and take it out of the
box and it too has LOSB1751 motor in it. So I've verified this issue as
best as I can.

Thanks guys, I'm just trying to help out, because that error causes
customer confusion.

Hi Xxxxx,

Thank you for contacting Horizon Hobby Product Support.

The manual list the motor as LOSB0833 that is a stock motor comes with
Trekker. The LOSB1751 and is a high power motor and is most likely is
listed on the sites as optional.

User Was Browsing: Motor with Wires: Micro-T/B/DT [LOSB0833]

This email was generated from the Product Feedback form on the following
product page:
http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...rodID=LOSB0833

Name: Xxxxx
Email: xxxx@xxxx.xxx

Comments: The motor that comes in the Trail Trekker is clearly part
number LOSB1751, but on your website and Losi's website it states in the
parts listing for the Trekker that it uses LOSB0833 - but that is not
the stock motor. I am curious to know why the website lists the wrong
motor as being stock?

Oh...sorry you said 99t not 99T. DAMN FINE DETAILS!!
Regardless, like Spoo76 said this is a legendary thread! For as long as I am on this forum, I will never forget this one. CLASSIC!!!!!

As for Evilinside...good job in getting to the bottom of that downward spiral. You definitely got a major error corrected...along with other things corrected.

Trying to set someone straight so they don't spread misinformation is what's considered an idiot now-a-days, thanks for the heads up I'll be sure to pass that along to every person that's ever been in a debate or tried to teach someone that was stubborn. Thanks for the opinion, now read the below statement...
