As I do not have a vendor star some of my posts apparently can be seen as a feeler posts, so I have deleted them to not get in conflict with the forum rules.

The star will turn up one day or the other I am sure, cannot say which day though... But over to something more fun. Got something really cute from Tomi today. A little while ago I got to borrow his drawings for his trannys that use RC4WD gears. I redesign the narrow version slightly and this is the result And while I was at it, I mounted a LRP Fusion 380 High Torque motor In comparison with the original tranny (and the smaller LRP Fusion 370 motor) the NCD tranny is actually smaller... I have to make a new skid plate for the new tranny but it will be no problem finding room for the tranny in the chassis | ||

Yepp, it is a really nice one. If you would design a chassis around it you should be able to make a really narrow one. And I dare to believe that all the tranny problems that exist with the original tranny is all gone Only downside is that I have to find a 32p pinion that accept a 2.3 mm motor shaft. Or if that not possible make a sleeve to use pinions for 1/8" shafts. Reagarding gear reduction of the NCD tranny and the original one please see below Original with 10T pinion and 66T Spur - 43.83 Original with 14T pinion and 60T Spur - 28.46 NCD with 6T poinio - 42 NCD with 9T poinio - 28 NCD with 12T poinio - 21 NCD with 16T poinio - 15.75 NCD with 18T poinio - 14 6T is the smallest 32p pinion I have found. I have to order one to check if it is possible to use it with the NCD tranny. It might be needed to grind a bit on the motor plate to get the motor close enough to use such small pinion. | Re: Dravpnir tries to build something small Well it has been very little work on this one for a while now. Me and the wife got our first child 2 weeks ago, so tinkering time has been very sparse But I have received some awesome stuff regardless Like Blib said in his MRC thread the original diff gear is, well more or less pathetic in its construction... 6 parts and 8 screws in this little guy... I think this looks much better! Exceed ring gear and a spool of stainless steel of my own design. Now it is time to start to work on my axle shafts so I can get my axles together with these bad boys. Today I also got a nice package from Everetty, some 4.2" diameter 1.9" Gold Voodoos Compared to my home made 4.2" diameter 1.9" red Rovers Now I think I got everything I need at home, so time to start working on putting everything together! |

| Re: Dravpnir tries to build something small Thanks There is a saying here in Sweden - "If you wait for something good, you can never wait to long" Oh, sorry... I realised a couple of days ago that the only original MRC part I will use in the end is the axle housings... why does this always happen when I build a crawler... Today I spent an hour with the dremel and after enjoying the wonderful rubber fumes, atleast the tires for my MRC are done! I left some thread on the inside of the front tires to get some help climbing ledges with the front tire. Choices.... The 4.2" diameter 1.9" gold Voodoos The 4.2" diameter red Rovers Please ignore the wheels, they are only old prototypes and will get replaced with the same kind of wheels that are on the Voodoos. |

Got a little masterpiece the other day. Bilb was so kind and made me one of his 12T UD gears. Awesome stuff! Big thanks Together with my spool and the exceed ring gear it runs very smoothly Tonight I got the time to grind some axle shaft and started to put the rear axle together. Then I threw on some 0.6" wide wheels with the short Axial plastic hub and the width was 7.25" Now I just have to find some orange aluminum button head screws and wait for my rear upper link mount to arrive then the rear axle is done! |

Got time to work on this little guy tonight I noticed in some sportsman thread using dlux modded wraith axles that they used a thinn hub from RC4WD. I ordered a set of them earlier and threaded the holes to M3 and mounted them to me wheels. If I use these hubs on my rear axle I get a width slightly under 7". Then I mounted me rear upper link mount that I recieved today and removed the axle housing screws and replaced them with longer screws and nuts. I also got home the servo plate so I mounted it up on the front axle Threw on some drag and tie rod to see the steering available and I am not disapointed Mounted both the front and rear axle to the chassis Now I have to do 2 major things (and a bunch small things) then it is more or less done. THe major things is to mill out a new skid plate for the NCD tranny and cut and grind the Axial Universals so they fit my locker and front axle. But I could not help myself so I put on some wheels It is a bit high I think, but get quite low at max compression atleast. Not the biggest flex, but hopefully enough I test mounted the battery behind the servo and it fits very nicely |

it will never work, just send it to me for proper disposal and ask no questions.... but really it looks great, hoping to see some of your innovations up for sale soon lots of great things happening for the 1.9 class lately. we need to keep this class alive |
