To me, thats the fatal flaw of this truck. The batt door/ec3 connector. If i could swap that plug out for a hardwired deans type and have a door that accepted different batts, id give it a 10 score.

if you don't mind not having the interior you can use any connector you want.

ill snap a few pics maybe. but all I did was take the drivers out and the connector out. I use trx plugs on everything. they don't get loose overtime like deans. feed the battery in as norm. run the lead through the hole where the ec3 used to be and plug into the esc! its really simple. I have big hands to so its easier with smaller hands id say. the rest of my setup.. well tlr 37.5 up front in shocks. and 30k in center diff. nothing special. im working on a front swaybar fix.. annoyin pos it is.. and new boca black seals on both pinions with 1 shim. .5mm??? I think. its tight but it wore in good and I don't have the crunchy ring and pinion slippage anymore. |

actually the rear was after failure. the front.. well during failure. close call!!! the rear.. well just failed.. heat maybe? it was on practice day at the great lakes showdown when it happened. I had to rush home to my hobby shop and do a quick fix. it was an instant fail. kinda funny watching the rear end just slide out way father then be dragged by the front. I got maybe 2 laps before it happened. ive had only crunchy sounds during hard 0 to WOT in the front. the bearings looked fine upon removal until I felt the wobble. im glad I caught it sooner than later. I feel that the pinion to ring center spacing gets a bit off cause the plastic flexes. so I shimmed it. no issues since. Last edited by CM9000; 08-15-2016 at 12:53 PM. |

I believe you put a shim in between the driveshaft yoke and the pinion bearing so it pulls the pinion gear away from the ring gear. Without it i think the pinion has the tendency to run into the ring gear causing the damage.

Quick question. I'm installing a new Savox 1258 and a Spektrum glitch buster. Which port do I plug the glitch buster into?

You can easily put on Deans or XT60 connectors into the existing slot. I put an xt60 connector into the stock location. Love it. Can't post pics, I hate photobucket, my private hosting site is down and out. Maybe I will pull one from my google account |

You don't need to remove the interior to use a different plug. Just run the ESC power wires out through the space covered by the fake radiator fans. That's how mine is set up, since I use XT90 plugs, and it works fine. I can even fold down the fake radiator fans to pin the battery wire in-place so it doesn't flop around.

I guess that works. but I want as much of the wires as possible to stay inside my truck.

I think you are overestimating how much wiring is exposed. It is only a tiny bit more than what is exposed when using the stock power plug. Last edited by fyrstormer; 03-29-2018 at 11:10 PM. |

Quick question on the fitment of Axials method 105 wheels... BobTeagle, you said you needed SLW 225 hubs in order for them to fit on the ten-scbe, is it the same case for the Rey or do they fit well with the stock hubs? Thanks Also, can someone show a pic of the Axial score body on the Baja Rey roll cage (or without), if possible? The stock body doesn't look that great (it could be the paint job, though)...
