It looks like you are off to a good start. You need to black out the frame and get rid of the green on the links.

Sweet

I would take that body and do another build with it, and then throw a bushwacker, bronco, or scout on there. Just a suggestion

Cool find though, that body looks great CR-01's are fun rigs

All mine are projects at the moment, some just more so than the others. There's been a pretty good turn over in my garage lately. The only thing I'm really missing is a TLT. I think I got most bases covered at the moment.

Sniper Scaler - Here's the nod to the Wheely King. Down to pretty much the interior. I do need to redo the axles trusses but thats just to make 'em pretty.

Axial Comp Rig - '08 season is down and I'm planning for '09. All I need is a plan. The only thing not pictured is the DNA dig. I've got 2 in the parts boxes

TXT - One of my recent additions. Now I'm not sure what to do with this yet. I'm still on the fence about going 'Super' with this one.

Clod - Another one of my recent additions. Clod ala Gecko. It also got me the new shoes on the Sniper. Again I'm not sure about super sizing this one. One of these two Monsters is going Super but I'm just not sure but I'm thinking it might be this one.

Of course that doesn't include the MRC .. yet. Those are just the crawlers, I've got a couple others I'm playing with too. It's gonna be a long expensive winter

It's kinda in a coma right now. Here's the chassis. That's all that is left besides another fresh Rubicon body.

When my Bronco bodied Axial X-Trail went away, the Jeep went in the holding pattern. I don't have any running gear for it now. I could resurrect an old project plan using the TXT. It would come down to getting the right offset wheel. I'd be looking at some 'Pede electric rear wheels or something similar. My tube chassis would be more 'Poison Spider' than this Jeep but it would have the same wheel offset and stance.

Use WK or cr-01 axles there wide as all hell and then u wouldn't have to find weird wheels for it, take it or leave it that's my advice.

My Sniper already has WK axles, don't want to do them again. It's already the third build I've done with 'em. I haven't seen anything about the CR-01 that impresses me enough to bother with picking up a set. While they are good suggestions, I was thinking maybe the TXT. I'll have to get around to mounting my other set of All-T's on the TXT and seeing how it looks. I might be able to get away with using them. It wil probably be too wide for the scale class. I read throught the MSD scale rules and they had listed 10.5 on the track width. One of the post said they were measuring from the center of the wheel and not outside to outside. My Sniper with All-T's measures at 9 1/8th at the center but 11.5 at the outsides. So depending on how rules go for the scale 2.2's and tubes chassis, I could end up just finishing it off for some Axial's and get rid of it.

a little something ive been working on for mylan.
3/16 brake line
cr01 nose
rock gaurd and painted black

i still have to find paint to match the nose for the side plates and make some mounts for it. i think its going to be more of a body other than a tuber.

heres my new project thanks to mrswith. jim had started this thing it was 50% done. all that i have done to it is the roof bars on the back the stinger on the front the bars for the shock mounts and fourlink mounts. i still have some more bars to add in around the link mounts and a few more here and there. i got bored and started making a bit of the interior.

im planning on running a set of axials axles and trans. maybe mount the motor under the hood to a axial trans.

Is that a Stinger or you just glad to see me?:-P

I'm glad to see it get finished. Looking good so far.

I got a new project as well. Still trying to figure out if it's gonna get the CR01 or the Axial gear. I do know it's gonna have these wheels.

I'm doing some tube work right now for someone and it would be a bit before I get a chance to do something else. After doing the 60+ nuts on just the Sniper chassis, I really hate doing those. Here's a suggestion though. Weld on some steel strips like 16 guage or even the 1/8" steel like your Jeeps link mounts. Then just drill and tap, or if it's in an open spot, use nuts. Thats what I've been thinking about doing for the next time.

My JK hard body is going to be similar to yours, aluminum rail chassis. It will probably get some tube work but not a complete tube chassis. I'm leaning towards the Axial gear now. I don't know if I want to stretch the CR01 that far just yet.

it wouldnt be so bad but im welding everthing. i have this fancy aluminum brazing rod that i bought i might try on it. also it will be a little easier with lexan panels i can pretty much weld the nuts anywhere. i tore apart my jk cause somebody said they wanted to buy it but they never make me an offer. so the tuber is just about a roller ive got to make some shock mounts then hopefully take it for a test drive.
