I havent spoken to Lance much lately....I think his youngest kid (less than one year old) has been requiring much of his time lately. You might try sending him an email...

Ok I am looking at getting this setup but I want to know is. As far as grinding down the tube is can I lay down the servo plate and scribe a outline then take off the plate and grind away? I know I would have to fit the sevo I'm to check for fit. I also want tn know how close to getting into the tube I will be and also how much weight does this take off of heavy set of axles? Thanks |

That's what I did when I did mine. I just laid the servo plate in place & scribed a line. Then kept grinding & filing till I was close, then I mounted the plate & fit the servo a few times to get it fitted. You won't get into the open center part of the tube where the axle is. As far as how much weight gets removed, I don't have any idea. I didn't weigh mine. hth, Rich C. Quote:

What pinions are you usin? I just noticed you're using a 9157. I ground down my tube to the point where I have a couple of small hole in my tube and I still can't get the servo in. I'm using 12 t pinions.

| I run the same servo....I did have to bump up to a larger pinion....14T, IIRC.

I am running 12 and 12 pinon. Could I get away with a 14 12 or should I just run 14 14 or even 14 13. Also what pitch are the gears again? Thanks Scott.

The motors are independent of one another....you can run whatever pinions you feel comfortable with. Hell, on my old clod 2.2, I used to run a 50T motor up front and a 60T motor in the rear.... Personally, I like my bully to have 1 tooth difference between the front and rear gears.... |
