The new redcat everest-10 crawler?

I bought a Redcat Everest 10 a couple weeks ago. After reading another thread on rccrawler, it seems to only have a couple weak points. First it comes with plastic lockers and the diffs have mounts that hang down. Also the tires are a bit stiff. I ordered all new shocks, wheels tires and lockers. In the mean time, I took out the foams, cut off the brackets off the bottom of the axles and put 8 oz of lead in each rim. The difference is night and day. This thing is amazing. I don't even know if I'll put the parts on when they come. Plenty of fun for $135.

A video of the slightly modified machine. Trimmed the things hanging down off the axle, removed foam from wheels, weighted front rims, and added the K20 body.

that was too easy, need a harder challenge.

you plan on lowering the body? maybe bending links?

It's funny that you mention lowering it. I bought some 100mm shocks, which really worked well for climbing, but they lowered it too much. The links essentially are level. This really helped get the center of gravity down, but the breakover angle is now too low. I get high cenetered fairly easily. I ordered some 110mm shocks I think that will be the happy medium.
