Thanks guys. The body wasn't clear, it was invisible. Since it's going to be used for the TSC scaler class I gotta do some point deducting accessorizing. And I think we have to run front and rear bumpers... I don't think it'll look good with a rear bumper. I dunno... Started some tweaking to the rear suspension. But of course it's raining like crazy outside so I can't really see what happens... |

Btw, this mod would reduce the pinion angle, wouldn't it? Last edited by cartronicshn; 05-11-2008 at 09:49 AM. | |

You had to quote the pictures didn't ya? Yeah the pinion angle is rolled forward a hair, and I can add a small spacer between the links and rod ends, but it's still good to me, as you can see it there in the second picture. Yeah, looking at the stock rear link geometry it just didn't make sense to me. I'm trying to get the uppers a bit more parallel to the ground. I want to swap the sway bars front to back too, but that looks like a small pain in the butt. |

Better now?, about the sway bars, aren't they same lenght? mine have gotten bent and i just straighten them out by hand, so just bend them a little and pull them out maybe?

Yeah but that'll compromise the structural integrity of them and they won't be as effective! Duh! Heck, I can hardly tell them apart. They both look gold sometimes, and sometimes they both look silver. |

Yeah, two different bars. How'd they bend? Seeing how they're in a torsional twisting motion, eer uh, whatever, I don't see how they bent. |

i have to be honest, i bent them, to avoid tearing the suspension apart, which i will have to do anyways to mod the shocks |

Theonek, you build it now! So at this point I've put the blue springs in back. The yellow is in front. Added the spacers to the upper rear link mounts. I've removed the front sway bar, and the front flexes now. I'm surprised how much those bars really effect things. I put the bigger sway bar in the back. I've also put 40 weight oil in the back shocks. I put Proline memory foams in the back tires, too. There's a definite rear stiff bias, and it's working well. And the memory foams are good back there. I've also played with the linkages to see what their leverage differences could do. More on that later. Rising rate, falling rate stuff... Oh and lowered the body a notch. That was a day's worth of trial and error. And that's a good time. |
