Are you getting a custom battery pack?

Here is a link to a servo mount that will allow a pack on the axle clod style. It may raise the servo too high to fit under your chassis though.

Yes I will be getting a pack that JIA recommended in post #10 from CheapBatteryPacks, because they are not to far from me, and I can drive and pick it up

or what do you guys think?

The only batteries I have now a 6 GP 3300's, I had 3 on each axle

Thanks for the link , that servo mount looks cool, but I believe it might get in the way.

I was going to suggest the Fat-Rock/RCP mount as well.

Other options:

TLT battery mount?

I've seen one of the locals with several 2/3A cells made into packs that fit over the steering servo. Up one side, across the top, then down the other side.

What's your track width right now?

Slow,
How much do you need to trim the pede tranny to be able to get the side panel on. Just the outer screw hole or more.

Yep its looks like I only need to cut the one screw for it to fit perfect and to make the side panel fit

Here is a few pics to show how much room I have on the front axle to work with.

I have little room for batteries

What about a Lipo pack?

BTW, here's some shots of how the pede tranny fits in the frame

First two shots are laydown, last two are vertical.

The only trimming required is to take the outer screw boss off the housing, remove the two bosses for the pede hingpins, and trim the lip off the bottom of the housing so the tranny sits flat.

If you plan to run a laydown tranny I'd suggest running your upper suspension link in one of the four holes closest to the frame rails (see side shots and upper rear link placement). Using holes that are farther in may cause clearance issues with brushed motors.

Maybe this will help with your batt situation...

2/3A packs mounted over and around the servo.

Yeah...

Too bad I don't remember how many cells fit like that.

Slowcrawlin, that is in no way drawn to scale.

Hopefully someone can chime in and let you know how many will fit like that.
