notice the packs are 2s2p............wow, can you guys not read??

2s2p= 2s/each...and each pack is made of 2s in parallel. so if you split the pack you WILL get half the MAH but all of the voltage. Not very hard to understand here. if you have this pack, seperated it, and are only seeing 3.7v, you screwed up somewhere with either buying the WRONG pack or your charger is junk.

thanks! I've been spending plenty of hours on the rocks the last few weeks gearing up for 2010... I'll be hitting Socalrcrc comp #3 next weekend at the dreaded Stoddard Wells compsite.

updates coming soon

I tried mounting mine that way but didnt like how they felt but it could be my installation. I believe I know what you trimmed off the axle mounts, was it the rounded area that rubbed on the shock flat spots?

I used Traxxas ball ends for the shock but didnt like how loose they felt, it felt like they wobbled on them up and down to much and i didnt like the side to side play with them. Could I ask what you used?

Thanks.

I used Traxxas pivot balls on mine and they are a little loose, but work just fine in use. I trimmed just a little bit off the rounded area on the axle mounts. You are correct, they rub on the flat ends of the shock.

You have inspired me to return to its roots...

Good Bye MOA

I will update soon... I'm even going to put my rovers & Leopards on hold and run

the Claws. I have the rock claws and comp claws..They are both blue

compound but it still seems like the original rock claws are a better

compound....I would like to run the comp claws just because of the size

difference...How do you fell about both tires and your thoughts on them? Much

appreciated

You can see where I shaved down the shock mount on the axle. I used a random ball end (revo I believe) with o-rings on both sides to take up any slop. After the abuse the rig has seen in the last few weeks, I'm confident that the mounts will hold up just fine.

I tried the same setup with on the rear shocks and I couldn't get them to work without any binding... so they're mounted back in the traditional position.

I've also cut my shock limiters down to 15mm in the front and 12m in the rear. I liked the stability of the rig with 20mm limiters, but there were just some places that I need that little bit of extra travel to get through. I think that the current setup is a good compromise.

Awesome The shafty can win comps... you just have to believe

As far as tires, I prefer the comp claws now. It took a little time for me to get used to the size, but its worth it. On my current set I tried something a little different. I cut out all the small center lugs with body scissors and it really helped with forward bite. The tire seems like it conforms better now too.

no kidding, I haven't noticed a huge difference in sidehilling, but I haven't had them on any smooth rocks since I cut them up. How did yours do at CDM? I meant to steal your rig and try them there.

I'm actually running slightly lighter in my current set of tires. I'm running 7oz. added to each front wheel, and 3oz. added to each rear. I still have my heavy tires with 10oz. in each front and 3oz. in each rear set aside just incase I need them. So far, the rig climbs everything it did before but its a little more nimble with the lighter weights.

Well now you're just copying me.

I gotta try the cut out center lugs. I feel I'm severely lacking traction compared to some other tires on the rocks we just started running on. Round boulder types without any real grip, it's fun.

Have you treid using internal springs? I couldnt find a limiter size I liked so a friend gave me some cut down ( 1/2 tall ) TCS medium internal springs. After putting them in it was nothen but the truth for me. It limits, but still gives me that extra travel when I need it.

Do you have them on the inside or outside?
