The Oversized Memory foams are a little soft in a DH since there are no weight wraps inside the wheel to support the foam. Maybe experiment with running a slice of standard foam on one side of the memory foam to stiffen it up? This is the exact setup that Rubbaneck runs in his DH fronts

What foam setup are you running? Mine react great to wheel speed

Thx Del Monte, I actually thought about the support issue and added a full wrap of 4g audio power wire around the inside of the fronts last night. This equals about the same volume and shape of maybe 2.25 wraps of weights and adds 3oz. So with that, I took out 3 slugs from the rim, so 6 oz total per rim. Still felt similar as before, but i talked with a good buddy that owns a machine shop. Im thinking about having him mill all 4 rims down to maybe .9", somewhere in between what i have now, and the narrow .7" you and a lot others are running. You think thats a good plan,? mill them more, keep them the same? I wish i could buy 2 setups, but good rims are just a little too pricey. I have some Rock Claw foams laying around but i cut wedges out to soften them up awhile ago.

Took my boss claws for there first drive today. They worked great! I was able to go anywhere i could get the truck to point. This was on rocks that we just pull out of the woods to start making a course out of and they had not been drove on yet, still had dirt and moss all over.

The set up i was running:
truck rtr 5.58lbs
front wheels total 13.6oz
rear wheels total 9.3oz
On the rear i stayed with the pink foams
On the front i used pink foams plus i cut my stock rock crawler gray foams in half and add one half to the out side of each pink foam.

having to much fun only took a couple pics.

Think I got them dialed in finally. They seem to work best for me when the fronts are a little on the hard side. Not quite stock foam hard... but harder than NovaDD foam.

They are a mix of proline dual outer memory foam wrapped over NovaDD inner foam.

They performed the best yet today at our weekly comp/GTG.

No. I have a huge rubbermaid tote full of tire foams. If I can't make something work out of that... Then I don't need the tires that bad. LOL.

Here's the VP line up. DH (Dirty Harry's) http://www.vanquishproducts.com/dh-p...x-spacers.html

This is for the SLW series.
http://www.vanquishproducts.com/vp-slw-hex-hubs.html

Everyone has plenty of options. I run the DH 585 up front fully loaded and rear SLW with 600.

I like it a bit wider then stock for stability while jumping .

It's a two stage regular foam, however I don't know exactly what they are. They were a present.

Very close in feel to a regular Losi grey foam from a Rock Claw, surrounded with a much softer outer white foam, resembling something from Proline maybe. Together they more or less fit inside the Boss Claw with minimal bulge action. Squeezing them from the outside they are fast reacting and somewhat soft. Squeezing them from the sidewall near the bead they are about twice as stiff. They are able to support the truck on a diagonal, whereas the fronts almost crush down to the wheel.
