Thanks guys! I'm glad we had a month to make something cause those universal joints were a pain in the as to make. I'll post up some more pics tonight when I get home.

Pics of the process One of the stub shafts before threading. Both shafts and stubs finished on the lathe. Close up of both shafts Cutting the opening in the shafts for the universal joints. Short shaft finished from mill Universal joint center section. Short shaft before assembly Short shaft assembled Locker Complete package In stalled axle Pictures were taken all through out the many pieces it took me to get this right. |

damn man that is nice. any thoughts to heat treating that center square piece to make sure it doesnt wear out? or the entire things? what was this milled from? p20 or something like that? |

Man why did I miss this thread? Are there any plans of doing another thread DOOD? I like the challenge 2 the best. I actually have something I have wanted to build for fun, and this looks like it would motivate me.
