For all you running the stock radio gear,

https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F332539853837

The way i see it for the price of 3 of those you'd be looking at about the price of a hacked GT3B/C so why not just go that and gain some channels

Also dont forget the vendors that support RCCrawler, HeyOk has a similar end point controller, its a bit more which I don't mind seeing as HeyOk does some cool innovative things for the crawler community.

I recently bought one of the used traxxas servos on eBay that they pull off the summit. Had a very good experience for $16. Mine have been through some tough situations...

This servo:

Is a good choice to replace stock servos?

Is possible to waterproof it?

You can waterproof any of them yourself.

Hmm.. Reading all the troubles with the mico servo’s, I’m eying one of my Flysky tank 6-channel tx and rx-es. Swap’m into the TRX. Hey presto! Precise endpoints, micro-adjustments of every channel, even the flip-switches and rotary’s. Have to get one of those centering handle/lever thingy’s though, because it’s a mode-1 TRX, and I’m not fond of the instant cruise control that comes with 1 channel without a center-return.. :P

Truth be told,I’ve about 2 to 3 hours of running on my Bronco, and it hasn’t given me any trouble yet. And I played A LOT with the functions. Cannot help it :Ooh.. buttons and switches.. What do they dooo??? *clicketyclicketyclickety*

Though, it was one of the latest batches. Me thinks Traxxas very well knèw of the issues, and has stepped-up QC, to make ab-so-lutely sure that the servo’s and linkages were adjusted correctly.

Does anyone know if the Savox SW-0250MG will work for the locking differentials? It is 25 t spline.

not without modification, that servo is 29.mm long and the traxxas 2065 is 22.6mm long. since the linkage is a cable the position of the servo is not critical, you could gat some plastic sheet (abs 1/8") and make a mounting plate to hold the servos then remount the plate with some standoffs to the original bracket mounting holes. If fabricating is not your thing then I'd go back through this thread and find one that is close to the original size. savox does have some but they are not waterproof...but can waterproof on your own, just look in the brushed section on their site.
these two should be real close to dropping in wit a slight shaving of the mounting ears.

I make a change on the cheap side.
New Power XL-9 fits with a bit grinding drilling at the attachment points .I drill a 3,5-4mm hole in the old Servo Gearhead and push it up side down on the tiny XL-9 gearhead .Than i cut the head from the old servo ta da a bigger spline on the XL 9.I fill the XL 9 with Marine Grease an it works flawless as my shift the two speed servo. After i adjust the shift link there was no servo noise ,not in first not in second. The XL 9 servo ist always with ballbearing head dirty cheap. If you want to watch how my Mog work you can watch on F.B. RC Abenteuer

Not sure if this one’s been mentioned but I had a defective diff lock servo and was able to make a Savox SH0262MG fit without too much work.
Ps. Will NOT work with the stock servo saver spring thingy so only any good for you if running a radio system with endpoint adjustment I guess.

All I needed to do was open up the mountain ear holes a tiny bit and then cut a small notch in the base of the servos plastic cover to allow the cables to exit pointing downwards as opposed to coming out of the side.

Then I used one of the plastic horns trimmed down that was included with the servo

I believe that is the one the Harley Designs guy featured in his weekly Scale News Update. Apparently they are drop in and metal geared but I have not heard any reviews.

Why when there's this: https://hobbyking.com/en_us/bms-373m...___store=en_us

and this for $8.00 (simply amazing): https://www.banggood.com/JX-Servo-PD...r_warehouse=CN

would anyone spend $29.00 on the servo that amain sells?

I've been running the BMS-373 (end points adjusted) for over a year with excellent results. They do require attention to detail upon installation, but after that, they are bullet proof.

How do you set up endpoints?

I'm not running the traxxas radio, I'm using a hacked flysky GT3c. Start by centering the trims to zero, bring end points down to 10'ish, and increase until movement is no longer noticed, or until you hear the servo straining then back off a click or two.
