Very unique take on the Defender! Nice use of the Ascender cage section... I figure those rare, old-school Imex tires will last forever... never was a fan of their oversized (monster-truck) offerings, but those suit your apocalyptic ride quite well! |

Installed some SSD beadlocks with Proline BF Goodrich KRAWLERS (1.9” in Predator super soft compound). I was hoping to use the stock tyres but I must have wrecked the bead when I tried to heat the glue off the rim - one seemed stretched. The stock foams were trashed too so I’m running single stage foams by Proline. I was a bit concerned at how baggy the tyres were on the foams but the look and perform great! Finished up the pickup body mod to my defender and slapped on my custom license plate. Over all happy with my work but overall it could have been done much better. Guess it was just a practice run for the next custom defender body I hack up.   Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk |

| What did you do to your TRX-4 today?
I installed a 9T pinion gear just to see how much better it crawled. It was better for trail hikes and rock scaling. More torque was nice. But wow is it noisy! The gear mesh is perfect but my rigs slight whirring sound is replaced with a whinny squeel Not sure the annoying noise is worth the trucks increased crawl ability. Yes your right. I found the pinion was ever so slightly off and wore the corners of the spur gear. I adjusted it and it’s much lower noise now. I ordered a new spur gear just to be safe. Thanks  Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk | |
