For me I have some extra takeoff parts and will build this chassis as a low budget extra crawler/trail truck. No competition use in mind but I'm sure it could be.

I showed James Knight the chassis at Pro-Line BTF last weekend and he was excited because more of his scale builds using the current SCX frame rails do not have enough chassis clearance for a low ride hieght and still provide any up-travel. His scenario is a perfect example where this chassis kit provides a bolt-in solution to lower COG and additional clearance for suspension movement.

I posted the following in another thread but worth adding to this one.

Regarding the advantages, here are a few:
  • Machined Panhard Mount
  • High Clearance Rails
  • More Uptravel
  • Stiffness
  • Accepts offset axles and provides the necessary clearances for full travel with offset front axle
  • Aluminum battery tray
  • Additional upper link mounting positions
  • A direct swap / bolt in solution for an aftermarket SCX10 Chassis (Most plate style chassis require a lot of work) And its the first C-Channel option?
  • Rigid solution for mounting Vanquish sliders and aftermarket sliders with this bolt pattern (Origin sliders bolt on for example)
  • Servo and Winch mount
  • Winch cable routing

I could go on. The biggest thing we focused on was chassis stiffness and versatility. Everyone that came by the Vanquish booth at BTF was able to put their hands on it and try to twist the frame to see how stiff it really was.

Brandon, Are the rails the same ones as used in the VS4-10 full kit?

Yes they are. We made some VERY minor changes that will not affect backwards compatibility.

Chassis are shipping early next week
Thanks for the info Brandon. Yes, VP portals are on my "maybe" list of options for axles. They look very good on the VS4-10, so may I end up with them.

Looking forward to watching to see how the TRX-4 axles will work on this chassis.

Element trans is also a good option that I may consider. Will wait and see how this trans does when they are released. I'm fairly confident that it will do extremely well. I've been an AE buggy owner for decades and I know they know what they are doing.

Great to hear they are shipping out next week. Looking forward to seeing these in person on my bench!

I got mine pre-ordered and can't wait! I just got some currie axles that work perfect with this. Are these the fenders you want to use with the new kit? https://www.vanquishproducts.com/vs4...ner-fender-set

If so could I add some to my order?

I really want to convert my SCX10.2 to the vanquish chassis, gotta somehow sneak it past the wife. I notice in Josh's video he installed the skidplate with the spur facing forward, what is the advantage to this? And I imagine the skidplate can be flipped for a traditional SCX10 "format"

Yes those are the inner fenders that work with the VS4-10 and this chassis kit. Email us and the guys can take care of that if its not too late.

You can mount the trans either way. In Josh's video he mounted it a specific direction to clear the Bronco body. I havent watched the entire video yet.

I was just in the process of editing my comment after watching Josh's video. I will be picking up this chassis kit for sure.

Awesome, thanks for the pre-orders!

We definitely didn't want to release photos too soon and make customers wait for a long period of time. I know some companies like to do that and it usually ends up with customers upset of complaining about the wait times.

Any recommended receiver boxes that can be hardware mounted to this chassis?
