Correct. But Brandon said it wouldn't fit in the vs410 chassis because of the Rails, but the ax10 that he listed will.

The SCX10 II's have 2 different transmission style. Typically when people refer to the kit transmission they mean the larger one that was only included with SCX10 II Kits.

All the SCX10 II RTR's have a standard 3 gear transmission (AX10 style as it never changed) that will fit the VS4-10.

Clear as mud?

Thank you for that clarification. I've never had an SCX10 vehicle , so I am not familiar with their Transmissions at all. I'll make sure that I get the incision metal gears as well.

When I get this tranny together, should I crank the slipper completely tight? Is there any type of slipper Eliminator for this thing?

Kit refers to the Cherokee kit and not the builders kit, two totally different things. Confusing ASF I know

I updated my old Axial chassis to this new one, very happy with the result:

Tell me about it. Here I am wanting to put together a custom build perhaps, and I'm learning on the fly. I'm not new to RC or custom builds, just the crawling aspect of it.

The kits also can come with both types. Lookup for the white XJ and the builders kit for example.

When manufacturers are referring to "KIT" and "RTR" for the scx10 ii they are talking about when the only two versions of the scx10 ii were available was the RTR red JK(grey case, old style transmission) and the KIT white XJ(black case, new transmission).

Anyone have a TRX4 chassis rail and a vs4-10 chassis rail that you could post a side by side photo of?

Thanks in advance.

From another thread. Not a lot of difference with the VS4-10 having a little more height over the axles, and I mean a little, and the lower rear bumper mount. The Traxxas rear bumper mount drops a fair bit anyway so that could be a wash.

Thank you, that’s exactly what I was looking for.. They look pretty darn similar, and I had the same thought about the rear bumper mount as well.

Might build a traxxial with some AR44s on a TRX4 chassis to see how it goes.

This frame set is extremely impressive and very much worth the dollar amount imo from what is currently on the market. Looking at this pic posted i have to ask, is this a servo mount for a rear winch bolted to the front of the rear cross brace? Are there cable routing options to the rear as well like the front servo winch?

VP, outstanding work, craftsmanship and production within all of your products!

Thank you for the kind words! No rear servo winch routing was integrated into the chassis.

The rear servo mount is for the dig servo when running a VFD transmission with the optional Dig.

Not the best picture but the most recent I have.

So what would be the benefit of replacing the trx4 chassis with a vs410 chassis other than battery placement?

This would give you an idea of how the SSD portal delete would work.

As Brandon said above. ^^^ The rear servo mount is for the DIG unit. But, I was thinking about using that rear mount for a rear winch and rig up some sort of tube to run the winch line thru. I’m saving that project for this winter.

Yes, this Chassis Kit is worth every penny and will greatly improve the performance of your rig. VP just keeps hitting home runs!

Vanquish VS4-10 product request...

I'd love to see those extended shock mounts in nylon as an option - the aluminum ones are beautiful but extremely pricey...

What if someone wasn't going to use a Dig? What other benefits?

Are you asking what the benefits would be to run a VS4-10 chassis vs a TRX4 chassis for a custom build?

Or are you asking about the benefits of the servo mount if you aren't using dig? In that case you just remove it as its a separate pc.

What I'm asking is, say you have a trx4 sport and you want to take the axles from the trx4 and put them under the vs410 chassis. What type of performance benefit will the vs410 have over the trx4 chassis? This is of big interest to me, although I will probably never use the Dig.
