I haven't tried it and don't know anybody who has, but I know several peeps with Ascenders and most either run stock plastic, Vaterra aluminum or STRC aluminum, nobody I know has tried mix and match. I bet they fit, but usually same brand fits together best.

Yota body is coming along nicely.

MIP shafts may not allow as much angularity as stockers and therefore especially at or near full droop they could bind at the joints (or close to bind) which will cause surging.

I love those old 'Yotas. It takes me back to when I was a kid, being envious of all the guys that had theirs all tricked out.

I tell my wife that these can be worked on in the work room in my basement and don't take up driveway space nor do they require the $$$ that a 1:1 project would.

I just got those drive shafts in the mail. I think I'll hold off putting them in. just started using 3s and the power is really cool, but I think the drives will take a beating.

It's hard to say. I've ran 3s and 4s on axial hd wild boars and really never had any issues. I usually wait for the driveshafts until they break. I ordered the diff inputs just so I would t have to ship from Canada again.

You can always stretch a smaller tire over a bigger rim but it causes the sidewall to bulge out more than when mounted on the proper sized wheel. This is usually not a problem but the bulged out sidewall just doesn't look right on some tires.
