Total barn find truck...

Incredible weathering!

Those are the RC4WD 1.9" Vintage Cruiser Stamped Steel beadlock wheels, right?

I've often wondered when I'd see someone finally using them on a build, they are PERFECT for this truck!

Yes there is mold. I used some dark gray paint lightly over the gray paint and sanded it off. The holes in the paint from doing the salt trick catch the paint and leave those nice spotty mold looking marks. Worked pretty well.

Put it together to do a test fit and see if I need any adjustments.

Those will look good. If you go with aluminum you'll have even more weathering to inflict.

Sides or no sides I can't decide.

I have to say...I like with the sides better, but then without the stack. The stack looks good without the sides.

Me, I'd go with the sides and lose the stack. Maybe mount it underneath?

I was thinking the same thing. The stack just doesn't fit.

Without stack and sides, they don't fit the truck imo, all the trucks like that when I was a kid had muffler and exhaust exiting under rear of truck.

Yah I was thinking that too. I know that most actually just had a muffler with a downspout. It wasn't until the late 80's or early 90's that they required the exhaust to exit the side or top behind the operators door or for a bus all the way back.

Maybe I should just stick a couple turbos out the hood?

There ya go! Old, weathered farm truck with a 671 blower sticking through the hood!

Yeah, maybe not...

Precisely, any tailpipe was usually just a downspout after a muffler, wth?

I guess I'm just looking for more to add to it. Having fun with this build! Almost out of things to make.

I was going to suggest a higher bed front/headache rack, but this certainly would do it!

I loaded the file into fusion 360 for a little adjustment. I think I can make it work.
