I also finally settled on the grill I want to use. Decided to go with the 76 through 78. Slapped a crappy paint job on the grill so I had an idea of what the finished product would be.

The more I look at this the more I think I am going to chop the top off. I remember cruising the main drag (when that was cool ) with the top off of my 79 scout. hmmm.

Worked under the hood a little bit today. Also printed a new rear floor and wheel wells. This time it fits just right.

Chop it!? You are a brave man. If you chop it, will you weld/braze a cage?

That's the plan. I picked up a bunch of brake line. I haven't done a done a cage in a while so I practiced with my redcat bumper.

The other reason is I am having difficulties finding a place to put the battery that I don't have to remove the body. I'm thinking if I printed a rear seat I could use magnets to hold it in with a battery box built in the floor.

I guess the worst case would be I would have to reprint the body. I think I'm going to do it.

That is a really slick bumper. Possible to show me a pic of how it attaches?

Did a little test paint to see how it looks. Looks like I have a little bit more sanding to do but I think it's going to look good.

Interior getting closer to being done. The reprint fits perfect. Now on to the side panels.

Decided I wanted fender flares. 3rd time's the charm. I think I'm keeping this design.

So I did a thing. My heart's still beating fast from such a drastic modification, but I think I did the right thing.

And now it's easier to work on the interior also.

You've been busy up there! Looking good, really like the floor. Chop top was a good choice...I'm having 1981 flashbacks.

I have been looking for aftermarket dash options and I think this is the one I'm going to make. Going to make it out of some sheet aluminum I have that is .025". Then I will print the dash pad.
