Here is the video that I shot last night, might give you all a closer look at the stripped down truck. |

Not much new info here, I do like the tech for the full size shift servo though.

Nice vid, that steering is total ass...like they did all the engineering and put a soap box racer setup in it as a last minute after thought. That'll slop out faster than a stock Blitz rack which I thought would never be possible...other than that it looks great, I'll pick one up when sombody sells an aluminum bellcrank conversion or whatnot... Oh, not trying to be a dick, just sayin wut I seeezzzz.... |

Did Horizon/Losi/Vaterra release a competition rock crawler? No, it's a rock racer/scaler and a little slop in the steering isn't going to keep you from winning any "scale competitions". |

Yeah, I'm not big on the sliding rack steering. I don't have mine in hand yet but looks like as it wears it could develop a lot of friction and get gritty when it meets the inevitable mud hole.. Good thread so far |

I see a lot of stuff here that looks like it carried over from the Losi parts bin; upper control arms, plastic servo horn with insert, plastic wheel hexes and I'm sure even more. Not a bad thing at all, just noticing it as I look through the pics. Looks like Horizon is doing a little recycling.... Overall this thing looks great, it will definitely be the next rtr/ kit I will drop coin on.

Very cool trailing arms, however I wish they would have lowered the shock mounting point below the centerline of the rod ends like a real trailing arm so that it would keep the arms in place. Right now they rock back and forth which is just an annoying design trait to me. [/QUOTE] Taking a quick look at those trailing arms, it looks like you could just flip them since they look almost symetrical. So you could achieve the lower mounting point. The other thing is the shock ball ends might need to be changed out for some longer ones to reach that lower mount. Might be worth a shot!! -Matt |
