Mine was not shifting well today but it was still a blast. I am going to change up the shift setup more and see how it goes.

Vaterra is releasing one but I may just either fab one or pick up an aluminum version from a vendor.

What was the problem with the shifting? I thought you installed a full size servo on it?

Looks like the stock steering servo I am using is having a couple issues keeping center. Thought my linkage was binding but having the same issue with nothing attached to the servo.

I have not been satisfied with the stock servos. The stock steering servo that I moved to the shifter was losing center, time to go.

So I swapped in a S9551 and built a new linkage to help ease any strain.

Some of the linkage pieces came from this kit, I drilled out the sliders to 1/8" to slip over the 35mm bolt I used.

super thin, something like .018" i think. It was super easy to work with and didnt add much weight over the stock lexan. It will definitely dent and bend with abuse but that just adds to the realism IMHO. Plus I can always bend it back.

I've made panels several times in the past. The Twin Hammers is definitely easier than most. However I would definitely use something thicker, as something that thin will ripped through the screws if you flip over at speed.

Hmm thats something I didn't think of. The holes I made were as small as possible to where the screws actually threaded it a bit so hopefully that will help but I guess only time will tell. The nice thing is I can easily fix/replace the panels, or even upgrade to a thicker sheet when the time comes.

I got the shop all cleaned and organized yesterday. Finally giving me some motivation to get stuff done!

Finally got the skinz put on last night! I made a new roof out of some sheet stock first. Super easy.
