i ordered the Twin Hammers bolt kit... as you will notice the bolts on the clone are pure junk! and i ordered a Hot Racing Vaterra Twin Hammers aluminum rear upper link mount VTH08UR01 a slower process than yours.. but i think i ll go with Hot Racing components.. rather than Asia Tees |

Alright.. i finally got fed up trying to find a bind for the radio and said screw it.. and litterally screw it.. pulled the front diff apart.. No grease no oil on the pinion... the diff oil must be some super light oil.. replaced it with 20k to make it more locker-ish Opened the rear axle.. no grease no oil nothing.. i m going to pull the diff out and see if its locked. Transmission: 4 plastic gears.. Idler is plastic and the shifting gears too. Ordered full metal ones. Motor: its brushed with a brass pinion.. the grub screw stripped out.. Motor Mount: super soft i tried removing the bolts but they are locktighted in so all you do is strip it.. tried dremel to put screw driver in.. but it ended up bending the motor mount! cheap! pulled the servo;s off.. the horns didnt feel like they were on .. they didnt require much effort to come off Threw away all the screws i could take off with out stipping.. even found an allen wrench that would fit and they still stripped! Its not your tool thats wearing ,, its the bolts.. |

NEVER! My cheap ass loves cheap crap! Haha plus making stuff is half the fun, right? Can I get a link to the tranny gears? And did you do a complete teardown of the rear axle? I just took the cover off and threw a little grease in there. Probably not the best but it can't be worse haha. Are the screws actually stripping out or the screw holes? the hex's inside the bolts are stripping.. they are an off size.. not a 2 or a 1.5 i got the screw kit for replacing it.. |

Questions solved... after removing a butt load of screws... 4 + 4 + 4 + 4 = 16 screws Rear diff is a locker! it looks like a + full metal gear and locker.. once its together i wont touch it again unless it breaks.. There ya have it.. a dismantled China Hammers everybody! |

The extra length of the bolts on the lower rear shock mounts is where the sway bar attaches. Mark come by the house n I will show u on my "Other" TH's that has the sway bar. When Jeepgeek2002 finishes his VA-China my TH will eat it and we shall see what is left! lol |

Interesting thread with a consumer vs the establishment twist. I'm intrigued by the efforts upgrading the chassis. Like amoton94 said "making stuff is fun".
