That's not true. Finally got around to hinging the top part of the tailgate. Those little hinges sit up in a recess I drilled into the roofline. All very snug. I'll reinforce where I glued those hinges with a strip of styrene. Only 438 steps left to complete.

Thanks, it will be featured it Cwalring Digest. I got to a place where I wanted to see how everything looks with some primer on it. I'm pleased with the results. Just a few minor exterior details to do before painting.

This puts what I worked on tonight to shame. You're good at trucks.

I spent the better part of my after work time today doing up the dash. I opted to go for factory radio, unlike my picture reference. I did recreate the most excellent, non-factory cup holder. I'm taking suggestions for what beverage to model. I'm trying to decide what steering wheel would be best for modifying. I'm thinking the Tamiya one would be easier.

Damn 80s toyotas and their lack of cup holders...I totally had one of those ones hanging on the glove box in my 4runner I'd cut the center of the steering wheel out completely and go from there |

So here's more boring work on the dash. I drilled more holes, and got a good start on the steering wheel. Also, made up a can for pop.

| Re: Land Cruiser FJ60 In the garbage? ;) Everything in the interior has been painted and detailed. I flocked the floor and I'm really happy with the way it turned out. I think I'll be flocking the seats too. Dash closeup. It'll light up, eventually. That warning sticker is temporary, until I can find a good picture of the actual shifting instructions. I keep forgetting to do the shifters. Somebody remind me next week. |

| Re: Land Cruiser FJ60 What did you call me? Thunks! Here's the final interior bits, flocked and ready to be installed. I got some awesome wheels in the mail from Shapeways last night. Thanks Honger, these are seriously awesome. Only downside is the offset and the bead doesn't seat quite right with Rc4Wd tires. But those are minor issues that I can fix. They're perfect for this truck so I'll make them work. They look too good not to use. |
