Love the stance of that thing. Looks like you picked up the same rings I was going to send, yours are much nicer looking though.

No sweat, glad they worked out for you.

I was just thinking, the 1.9 Axial wheels have eight feaux hub bolts, VP hubs have six. If a Gear Head (RPP) UTE 1.9 hub was used the holes might just match up, they are an eight hole hub, 2mm to boot!

I'm just thinking out loud.

That would be awesome if I could get just the hubs. I would love to have 8 bolt hub!

I suggested they sell different offset hubs for their Gear Head wheels, Corey said he'd look into it. Maybe it will become a reality soon.

I ordered hot racing spools and avid bearings. I have not touch the inners of axles since 2010!

Figured with 2 years of runs they would look nasty and seized up bearings. None of the bearing were and the diff didn't look too bad.

Cool! Glad you like the weight rings. Did you try the Axial weight inserts? Or did you just prefer to use the lead weights?

While the axles are getting more work done. I took the time to do some small changes.

I swapped to button heads on my ripsaw wheels and tires.

Got some Yeah Racing 70mm shocks while back, finally built them. I used 3racing shock cap, Traxxas O-rings with green slim and 60wt oil. Used scx spring cup it very snug fit.

The rebuild traxxas shock O-rings. But the shocks leaked anyways.

I want to look into either Tamiya or Hpi shocks. I need them to be 70mm eye to eye.

Too bad you can't run a little longer shock, the Traxxas bigbores DON'T LEAK ! I've been running mine for over a year without any leaks. The ones I run are 3.750 eye to eye. 2.755 (70mm) is a pretty short shock....maybe you could do some custom shock hoops thru the bed for longer shocks?

The Traxxas shocks are awesome shock.

I could do a custom shock, but I like the look of the bed now. I also got use to driving it with short shocks.
