I had comp yesterday. It was not good day for me. First course was almost clean had 1 reverse. Course 2 I dove off a ledge, broke both stock axail cvd pins and chewed up the front ring gear. I put the cvd's back together with gunnar no drill pins. Don't know what to for the front. Last edited by eric113; 04-15-2012 at 06:14 PM. |

Other than the mishap on course 2 you smoked course 1. The truck is so smooth and stable Eric, great work on it. For the axle/diff issue, try it again, but leave maybe an 1/8" more ring gear. You loose that much in ground clearance, but your still ahead of the game, and then you still have the portals!

In prep of txrcrca annual "rock the lake" comp. I wanted to make sure taco was ready to go. I had a 4ch rx laying around and been wanting to add rear winch. I put order in RPP for new motor to freshen up old 3racing winch I already had. I already have Heyok winch controller. Added MTHead fairlead to stock winch plate. I also thanks Szczerba I shaved down axial hubs and fit good. |

I been having trouble with cvd pin coming out. To fix it for now. I used 2 O-rings on each cvd. I also ordered new OD gears. Super happy that the new gears are pinned for the driveshafts. |

Little more work tonight. I made mounts out of 22g sheet metal for hi lift jack. I also shaved down the hubs for my ripsaw wheels too. |

That looks sick Eric! I've got a rc4wd bed on the way that is very similar to yours, if not the same. Did you need shorter shocks to mount the shocks like that? I've got 90-95mm Powerstrokes, and I am hoping it will work like yours has. |

I acually had these shocks laying around and ended up working out perfect. They 3racing MLST 66mm (eye to eye) shocks, I did use Traxxas rod end which made them to 70-75mm. I think 90-95mm is going to make the rear end sit high. | |
