Very nice build so far. I have never used fiberglass but I think I will give it a go soon.

Jeep is looking tough man. Great job, like the fender flair idea. Wish I would've took more time on my chassis like you did but i'm happy with it and it functions great. Can't wait to see yours finished.

Some might not like this update.. but I do and there is an absolute reason I did this...

But got my skid mount holes drilled.. scary task.. and got my links bent and rear pinion angle figured out.

In this pic there are in fact front and rear lower links and driveshafts.

In this one yes there is darn near 3" of clearance from the back of the front links to the back tires.

Heres the detail shot

Heres why I did such a dramatic bend on rear links and crazy pinion angle.. its simply b/c this is a class 2 rig.. (4.6" treps)with a 13"wb.... id be getting high centered like crazy if I didnt. But up next asa far as fab is sliders..

Stay tuned

meant to post this the other night.. oh well.. better now than never.

next level scale maneuver..

my driver and co pilot

we have joel and shane.. two buds broaght up in the california coast and as cousins.... always wanted to have one.. mommy and daddy helped fund the build so now the get to road trip to PA in aug and give her a whirl

"hold on shane its boutta get rough"

"good thing your holdin that wheel tight this terrain is nuts!"

"my feet are hot.. (mine too)""i think the motor is over heating.."

"brah.. i cant wait to play in PA!"

i did a rough est of what the scale points are gonna tally to on this for comps and its roughly 66 after all is said and done.. i hope to try and get more but dont wanna add to much.. i was thinking maybe a light bar in combination with a roof rack but dont want the truck to look to busy..

The rear links and pinion look fine. I've got the same punk driver. He may get a new head!

well guys i got an actual update. i just got done making die laughing a near replica cage out of 3/16 chromoly and that stuff is a treat to work with as far as brazing goes..

but i finally finished and have been able to make some progress on my jk.

first up got the sliders done. simple and functional.. thats all you need.

next up is i got my homebrew cms tabs done.

and my absolute favorite part. see below...

yes ur right... that is 2 yes 2 3200 3s lipo's getting the weight on this thing as low as i possibly can. there will be plate to cover the bottom sides so you cant see the batteries.

that is all for now.. next time i tackle shock mounts.

Rear suspension 98% complete all I gotta do is drill the holes for the sway bar torsion rod.

First up bend some scale hoops and braze on some standoffs.

Next braze to frame.

Looks good do both of em.

Nice fit into the interior. No need to trim anything.

As always thx for looking. I hope this build helps out some future builders.
Comments suggestions questions are always welcome.

Lookin' good! That's what I wanted to achieve with my rear shock hoops.. I don't want to trim the interior.. Haha. I haven't done them yet but, if they turn out half as cool as yours, I'll be happy. You gonna brace them rear shock hoops? If one of those broke in competition it would be a catastrophic failure. Wouldn't want that to happen!

I picked up some 1/8 rod for em. Then used 22g sheet for the standoffs. I may brace them, I dunno yet. They seem pretty sturdy tho. Im gonna get it running and beat it up a little b4 powdering the frame and painting the body to see how durable it is. Then if I have a failure I can just fix it without worrying about removing powdercoat then rebrazing and bracing. We'll see how it goes.
